Mbti newbies: so what does the letter J mean?
Me: it means “Judging”
Them: i’m a J type??
Me: yes
Them: but I dont judge people!!!!
Me: that’s… not what it means…
Every time.
Do you pronounce MBTI types as initialisms or acronyms?
Take my two-question MBTI survey! I’m curious to see how you pronounce the types. Do you read them as an initialism (saying each letter individually, like you would say “FBI”), or as an acronym (saying it like a “word,” like “SCUBA”)? I’ll post my results and correlation with the types after I get some responses. Thank you all so much!
The 16 types, on being told to drink a glass of poison:
INFP: Drinks the poison so nobody else has to - counts him/herself a hero.
ENFP: Writes song of the year: Poison
INTP: Asks the antagonist about the chemical composition, origin, history, uses, biological effects, and reason for being poisoned - then decides whether or not to drink it.
ENTP: Cuts a deal where he/she walks away with a sports car.
ISFP: Dares an ISTP to taste it, both partake.
ESFP: Thanks the antagonist for the drink and offers to share. Antagonist accepts.
ISTP: Dumps it out and walks away.
ESTP: After joking with the antagonist/antagonizing the antagonist for 15 minutes, pretends to drink the poison while dumping it down his/her shirt.
INFJ: Convinces the antagonist to let them write a story about some concepts this sparks, then gives the antagonist numerous possibilities they like better, so they let the INFJ go.
ENFJ: Appeals to the antagonist’s pity/manipulates them out of it.
INTJ: tastes it. Likes it. Unintentionally builds up an immunity over time. Becomes dependent on it.
ENTJ: Convinces the antagonist to drink it. Runs drug tests on the dead antagonist’s blood to reverse engineer the poison for future use.
ISFJ: Guilts the antagonist out of it.
ESFJ: Hits on/annoys the antagonist until they drink the poison.
ISTJ: Kills the antagonist with the cup holding the poison. Goes and grills a steak.
ESTJ: Argues with the antagonist explaining that it is illegal. Then drinks it to prove a point, but only after secretly calling the police.

Did a silly little thing to illustrate some differences between extraverted feeling and introverted feeling!
Dude @raven-mbti this is really, really good. Your illustrations convey the concept so clearly–I always struggle to describe the difference with words, but this is just great. Awesome work!

Love it.
MBTI as stuff I've heard in the nurse's office over the years
ENTJ “Hurry up and get me some ibuprofen. I gotta get back to class so I don’t end up with some shitty job like yours.” INTJ “Chemistry accident” ENTP “*holding tissue in nose and ice pack over face* I wanted to see what happened if I smashed my face into the desk” INTP “I was attacked by a basketball in gym class” ESTJ “Dammit Gabby’s 2 minutes late for her meds where is she” ISTJ “Dealing with all these idiots has given me a migraine” ESFJ “Okay you can stay back there for twenty more minutes but don’t tell my boss I’ll get fired” ISFJ “Don’t worry about me, just need a bandaid. *HUGE BLOODY SKINNED KNEE WITH GRAVEL IN IT*” ESTP “So he punched me in the face so I pulled my blade on him and I think I’m gonna be suspended again” ISTP “Um I nearly cut my hand off with a saw and had to have surgery” ESFP “HEEEEEEY LADIES HOW’S IT GOIIIIN no im not here for any reason its just that geometry is boring” ISFP “*to nurse* uuuughhh…my stomach hurts… *to other person* the truth is i never studied for this test we’re taking in class right now” ENFJ “GO HOME YOURE FREAKIN SICK I DONT WANT YOUR GERMS” INFJ “I was just walking along having existential thoughts when I tripped on my shoelace down the stairs *mind you this was a fucking fourth grader what the fuck*” ENFP “Well I was spinning around and around and then I hit my head on the cabinet and I think I’m gonna puke” INFP “*crying* Reality sucks let me lay down”
This is one of my favorite MBTI posts of all time
Haha, great!
Types on a movie night
ISTP: laughs out loud when the protagonist dies
ESTP: dubs over the characters in dumb voices
INTP: keeps telling people trivia they've read about the casting process for the film
ENTP: eats 80% of the available popcorn and ruins dramatic moments with witty comments
INFP: secretly roots for the bad guy because he has the most interesting backstory
ENFP: battles with ENTP over the remaining 20% of the popcorn
ISFP: secretly looks around to see people's reactions to their favorite scene
ESFP: keeps chatting with their friends on the phone, occasionally looks up to the movie and asks what's happening
ISFJ: couldn't care less about the protagonist dying, tears up when the dog dies
ESFJ: keeps telling ENTP and ESTP to stop ruining the movie
ISTJ: patiently explains ESFP what's going on each time they ask
ESTJ: has given up trying to watch the movie, instead starts pointing out things saying "that wouldn't really happen"
INTJ: somehow manages to focus on the movie despite the ruckus around them, sees the end twist from miles ahead
ENTJ: argues with ESTJ claiming the things they point out could really happen
INFJ: openly roots for the bad guy because he has the most interesting backstory
ENFJ: asks which movie they should watch next, is disappointed when everyone's had enough and leaves
Oh my gosh, this is so accurate!!
Cognitive Functions Metaphors
Ne is like time and space within itself, with so many possible timelines in existence.
Ni is like a weather forecasting stone, because it can just feel and tell what’s about to happen.
Se is like a camera, because it records everything around it and takes it in fully, every single detail.
Si is like a calculator, because it has all the info it needs to know stored within it, it remembers.
Fe is like a hospital, because it cares for those who are hurt, and fulfills their every need, and forgets about its own needs because it’s busy with others.
Fi is like a compass, because it leads us to the true and correct direction we should follow to stay true.
Te is like an office, because it’s organized and lets everyone know what needs to be done to get things done accomplished accordingly.
Ti is like a science lab, because once the experiments are conducted, it can analyze the results well.
