If you have no other option, you will succeed.
"I'll figure it out" is a powerful statement. Yes, you may not know what to do next or where to even begin... but you are ready and willing to do what it takes. You will in fact figure it out.

Every mattress is a patch of the flesh of the great bedbeast. And when we go to sleep we are cuddling him :)

I post this every year but it’s worth it to remind myself to plant flowers, in the garden and in my mind and whenever I get a chance, in the hearts of others.
Here is a copy of the original from 2017, with the artist’s name! @geopsych
The source for that New Years cartoon I posted. Thank you, @godsbyanyothername !
Yeah quiet quitting is great and all but have you tried chaotic working?
Like. I remember back in my grocery store cashier days I did so much crazy shit.
When WIC (Women, infants, and children voucher program to help low income mothers/families with children) people were in my line I would pretty much know who they were. Before the cards they had to tell us upfront they were WIC and show us their vouchers for what they were allowed to get (it was awful some times. Like. 2 gallons of milk. $4 worth of vegetables etc etc). They’d always have items hanging back, waiting to see what the total was and if they would have to take it off the belt.
I began to place the fruits/vegetables a certain way on the register scale so that like 1/2lbs of grapes read as like .28lbs or something. Then act shocked when I said that they still had X amount of lbs left. They got all their fruit and vegetables.
I think it started to kinda? Catch on to the women? Because I would have the same moms in my line month after month. And even after they switched to the cards (they worked like food stamp cards?) I’d still do the same thing. They were able to get more produce for whatever shitty max amount Indiana gave them.
Anyways. Be chaotic. It’s more fun that way.
The person who ran next to your car when you were a child.
Shoutout to those that never imagined this guy and get really confused when they see everyone agree that they saw them as a kid. My favorite collective hallucination.
ID: A youtube comment with 11 likes by Niceone, it says "I've lived 46 years without knowing this. How nice of life to save some of the best bites for later." End ID.
Normally, people tend to get frustrated, even jokingly, if they miss out on something. This comment was on a song from 1974 and it made me smile quite much. Simply appreciative. Like a dessert after dinner.
“Thanks Hank you really taught me a lot about propane and propane accessories!”
"And I tell you hwat, young man. I don't think I know hwat a 'heart of the cards' is, but I know for certain you've got the heart of a Texan."

Here’s the update post, for those who were curious.
i love popular music that’s good enough that you both connect to it enjoyably and also popular enough for you to hear it playing in public at grocery stores or radios or cafes or bars or stores… it’s rare for that to happen but it does happen. sometimes songs justly deserve their popularity. when i heard zombie by the cranberries roaming a grocery store and a scottish girl next to me in the dairy aisle starting humming the lyrics… when i heard shake it off by florence and the machine at a pub and the girls next to me happily sat up and started singing along… when i heard with or without you by u2 on the radio in the car and was like wow I can’t believe this sounds good and my mother was like i used to love it at your age. the whole masterpiece that is hallelujah by leonard cohen
basically this quote is real:
