The person with PPD (pwPPD) may find themselves more likely to let their guard down around their TDP more than they can with others. While their TDP may not be completely exempt from the pwPPD's distrust, the pwPPD may be more rational or easier to be convinced that their TDP can be trusted and will not betray them.✧

✧If the trust is broken, the pwPPD may either become even more consumed by their suspicions or they may obsessively attempt to excuse the behavior as to not lose their TDP.✧
