dude it's just politics, it doesn't matter. all it does is shape every single aspect of the society you live in from the second you are born until forever
doesn't it piss you off that you have to find something to eat every single day. every one of them. just every day. you gotta eat something
I do really think that the use of ChatGPT and genAI by students highlights the fundamental flaw of our education system focusing almost entirely on grades and test scores rather than generating curiosity and inquiry, which produces individuals who fundamentally do not understand that the purpose of an assignment is meant to be to learn *how* to do something, not simply to produce a product you can turn in to get an A+
all chiropractors either
1. know they are scamming you with dangerous pseudoscience so you shouldnt let them near your neck or give them money
or
2. genuinely believe their dangerous pseudoscience so you shouldnt let them near your neck or give them money
and thats simply the facts of the matter unfortunately. maybe you disagree and thats your right and id never try to take that away from you but you are unfortunately completely wrong and i would encourage looking up more about this
At best, chiropractor adjustments are as effective as a massage and at worst they can kill you. Just get a massage, those won't kill you and they are usually cheaper.
^^^ its literally this. any actual effective treatment a chiropractor does to you, it is something they borrowed from massage/physiotherapy. the massage and physiotherapy technicians will do all the stuff that actually works and promotes healing, and NONE of the stuff that creates a blood clot that takes three months to get to your brain and kill you (which will not be blamed on the chiropractor even when it should be). everyone in the notes going "but i feel better after i see my chiro thats why i keep going back :(" is experiencing the short-term improvements you will get from any form of physical touch in a medical context, this has been extensively studied. the fact that the underlying issue remains is part of the chiropracty scam.
Lately everything that happens feels like it was engineered in a lab to drive us all insane
worst thing about a job is that you have to. keep showing up. like you have to. you gotta.
i miss my ex bestfriend & everyone else that i have ever loved but don't want any of them back either
Congressional Republicans can end this at any time, you know. They can just do that. Stopping the tariffs wouldn't even take that many of them, not even 10 total.
People keep saying, "How can one man have the power to do all this?????" One man doesn't. One man is being supported in this by an entire political party, and that political party was elected to the majority in both of our houses of Congress. This isn't one man.
i think not having to work would fix me
They Left MAGA Steve Vilchez Chicago Read His Story Erica Roach New York Read Her Story Justin Yu California Read His Story Deanna Raper Nor
This is an interesting thing. Looks like testimonies of people who left the MAGA movement- how they got into it and why.
Leaving a cult is really hard, so I really respect the people who are speaking from this place.
Yes, actually.
Look, I know people want to react to the 'leopards eating faces party' with a big fat 'told you so,' but these are ex-cultists who are reaching out to people who may need an exit with a soft landing.
People who are deeply in a cult are afraid to leave it and MAGA is no exception! There's a fear that once you leave, you won't be accepted by anyone, so they stay even if they no longer believe in their rhetoric.
A very intelligent person can fall for a cult if they feel that it can offer them something they're missing. The outside world is perilous and you can be safe here. Your friends will reject you now that you've joined us, but we will accept you. Decisions are hard, we can make them for you. The secular world has broken you, we can give you new life through christ.
If you read some of the testimonies (and so many of them are young people) you'll see how much of it is 'I didn't see it, it took someone I love to show it to me, I can't unsee it now.' We've all done things we regret. Some regrets are bigger than others. I would rather forgive them and allow them to do good work than berate them for a decision they made when compromised by anxiety.
If you want to punish them, that's up to you.
But yeah. I think we should cheer for them.
a pretty good rule of thumb for life is "don't punish behavior you want to see"
Like, by all means have your anger and hurt and frustration over these people. No one is asking you to trust them. But writing each other off entirely wholesale is a death sentence.
I'm the product of an abusive parent, from a time when a lot of really unpleasant shit was still accepted. I had to unlearn a lot, and the grace and kindness that people showed me gave me a chance. And some people couldn't do that, because who I was and what I believed was too hurtful to them - and I respect that. But for those that understood I did not know better, and had been living in a bubble?
There was a window of time where it was really easy to be exposed to contrary information that gave you a chance to check yourself. We've lost that window and people get algorithmically sealed into disinformation bubbles that are tailor-made to exploit people's fear.
Sit with the uncomfortable thought that but for a few key different factors, that could have been you. It does not excuse them from the responsibility of harm caused, but don't deny them their humanity. That's what the adversary is doing.
I’m all for fucking around and finding out but in this situation (trump & the billionaires trying to drag america into tech bro fascist hell) too many people are being hurt and too many more WILL die if things do not change. you do not need to forgive those who voted for him, you do not need to find the sympathy to feel bad for them now that they’re being affected by his policies. but we cannot turn them away once they turn on trump— and they are. too little too late, maybe. studying for the test after they failed, sure. but I’m so serious when I say this is not the time for perfectionism. this is the time to push a dictator & his cronies out with any hands that are willing to shove
for some of them it’s elon, for some of them it’s the national parks, for some of them it’s farm land, for some of them it’s veterans
the funniest is trump calling himself a king and town halls being filled with people shouting “no king!” bc it seems like a sleeper agent being given a code word a lot of ppl said brb shifting into patriot mode
also want to add — the second some of you see a poor or blue collar white person you IMMEDIATELY say FAFO. babe not gonna lie but ur classism is rearing its ugly head. saw a woman on tik tok get bullied relentlessly bc she posted about possibly losing benefits. turns out she was democratic & voted against trump. but even if she wasn’t “red states are uneducated and poor that’s why they’re so dumb and were indoctrinated so easily” so you agree. they might now be perpetrators but they were / are victims to the system.
these conversations need to have nuance. they need to have flexibility. we do not need to agree & we can hold people accountable but we gotta allow people to join the ranks against a common enemy. because let me tell you, they not only want but NEED you divided
not to be a dirty commie or anything but i don't think any one person should have enough money to solve world hunger and then get to decide not to
