I'm curious about how Alastor's deal with Rosie works, for numerous reasons, with one of the biggest being in regards to his fight with Vox in the finale of season 2.

Was Charlie saying Vox was the strongest sinner in Hell all it took to make it so? Was it the fact that the majority of sinners (100% of them, if Vox's display is to be trusted) agreed with her or believe it was true, that Vox was empowered by it enough to actually become the strongest sinner?

And if he did in fact become the strongest, and Alastor's deal with Rosie was voided, then how come Alastor still retained his powers after the deal was broken? I know he's still an Overlord in his own right, but I feel like it was implied that his power was largely due to Rosie's deal to make him powerful in Hell.

Rosie gave him powers, and promised to keep him the strongest sinner in hell, and restrained his powers. Vox gained more and more power due to his ratings. His ratings reaching 100% made him more powerful than (constrained) Al. Al wasn't the strongest anymore, so Rosie lost her grip, and with it Alastor's constraints, so he became the strongest again, without the constraints, and without owing anything to Rosie.

But wasn’t Al’s “constraint” due to his staff being damaged? I’m not sure I saw anything that implied Rosie was doing anything to constrain his power, aside from neglecting to fix his staff.

The deal between him and Rosie was clearly broken in that scene, given that cut to her eye’s flashing and the collar vanishing from Alastor’s neck. I’m just wondering why he still possessed the power she gave him after their deal was broken, unless it had something to do with the fact that it was technically Rosie who failed to hold up her end of the bargain?

i'm begging you guys to start pirating shit from streaming platforms. there are so many websites where you can stream that shit for free, here's a quick HOW TO:

1) Search for: watch TITLE OF WORK free online

2) Scroll to the bottom of results. Click any of the "Complaint" links

3) You will be taken to a long list of links that were removed for copyright infringement. Use the 'find' function to search for the name of the show/movie you were originally searching for. You will get something like this (specifics removed because if you love an illegal streaming site you don't post its url on social media)

4) each of these links is to a website where you can stream shit for free. go to the individual websites and search for your show/movie. you might have to copy-paste a few before you find exactly what you're looking, but the whole process only takes a minute. the speed/quality is usually the same as on netflix/whatever, and they even have subtitles! (make sure to use an adblocker though, these sites are funded by annoying popups)

In conclusion, if you do this often enough you will start recognizing the most dependable websites, and you can just bookmark those instead. (note: this is completely separate from torrenting, which is also a beautiful thing but requires different software and a vpn)

you can also download the media in question (look for a "download" button built into the video window, or use a browser extension such as Video DownloadHelper.)

Option 1: try the DuckDuckGo search engine instead (bonus: dedicated to privacy! doesn't track your data!)

Option 2: go directly to LumenDatabase.org (the website that collects the complaints--and therefore the removed links) and search for the title you want. look for results titled "DMCA (Copyright) Complaint to Google" featuring the media you're looking for. Proceed to Step 3 (above).

Chendy redesigns for pride month

I redid Wendy's dragon force and Cherria's third origin.

I like Wendy's og dragonforce design but am confused why her hair color is the only one that changes, so I just made it blue and gave her some sky colored feathers/scales + claws. And made her hair look like wings.

I was super disappointed by Cherria's third origin though. She just looks like a regular human. Also I don't like her Alvarez outfit so I redesigned it to be something that would fit slightly better with a god form. And I tied the missing part of her shirt around her leg because what even happened to it in canon? (and also I figured she would heal her allies first and run out of magic) Since she's pink I based her off of a sunrise to match Wendy's night sky vibe.

These are so cool! I’m always a fan of redesigns of Wendy’s Dragon Force, but I was surprised by this because it’s actually Chelia’s new look that’s my favorite.

Her hair is giving “clouds” which looks great, but it also reminds me of something you might find painted on a vase or something from Ancient Greece or Rome, which is definitely fitting for a God Slayer.

You definitely made it way more impressive than what the manga gave us, I really wish she had had something like this in the anime!

It’s interesting, also, because I believe the sub version has her saying something like “What are…(you)?” or some kind of similar stock phrase that implies being bewildered at the opponent’s power.

The differences between the sub and dub are always fascinating with how things are changed, like here where instead of reacting with the typical shocked confusion, Wendy clocks the type of mage Chelia is right away, and understands the kind of threat she’s up against.

(I have a particular fondness for this fight, if it’s not obvious, since it was such a great demonstration of Wendy’s intelligence, with how she recognized Chelia was a God Slayer along with the tactic she used to make her miss her ultimate attack. Wendy’s intellect should get acknowledged more!)

It didn’t quite stick in his nose like the other two did, but was distinctive in its own way.

The contrast between her unmistakable scent, and the girl herself, was stark.

She was like a ghost; a pale, mournful apparition that merely lingered at a remove from the rest of the living world. She’d barely spoken since delivering her prim little introduction, hadn’t done anything to involve herself in the celebratory hubbub that had sprung up with the team’s return.
