I'm Felix, and this blog was made to share my experiences having Cluster B traits.

I'm an adult, and this blog is made for a mature audience. It's not strictly forbidden to minors, but please be mindful of what you can handle and understand.

CLUSTER B FLAG

Light brown is for warped, corrupt, uncommon or unclear morality.

Darker, more purple-toned brown is for low or lack of empathy.

Deep purple is for the dramatic, theatrical or emotional fellow Cluster B's.

White is for solidarity between all Cluster B's.

Dark, desatured purple is for appreciating oneself despite, or because of the disorder.

Light, also desatured purple is for the high strung, raging Cluster B's.

Lilac is for having, or not having a disorder-specific person (ex. Chosen person, Exception person), having it or not having it doesn't make you less part of the community!

The theatrical mask is to show the comorbid traits each disorder has, being erratic, dramatic, and having amazing personalities. (not glazing i swear)

Hi! I wanted to ask about writing HPD in an oc, and just wanted to make sure it's accurate and doesn't include any harmful stereotypes. My oc's self-esteem relies on other people's opinions and takes (hence the fact that their beliefs change easily from the people around them) and gain that validation and attention through sympathy. The best way they get that sympathy is through self-destructive behaviors (like joining a cult, self-harming, just putting themselves in worse situations in general) and then oversharing all the details to other people, just to have all of the attention, sympathy, and acceptance they can possibly get due to being rejected and abused so much as a child. They also try to compete with other people's trauma and pain because, again, the pain they are in is the only thing that can get them to receive the sympathy they want and need. So, someone taking that away by having it worse becomes instant competition.

(Sorry if this is a little bit hard to understand by my wording, it's 2 am for me)

Not diagnosed with HPD but I've suspected it for a long time myself. The way this character acts reminds me of myself when I was at one of my lowest. I thought that making people feel responsible or guilty of my pain was the only way to gain attention from them and that genuine connection didn't exist. I thought I wouldn't be paid attention to if I didn't look like a character that came out straight of a tragic novel.

But, I was also a tragic liar. While self-destructive behaviours don't necessarily mean it's not HPD, in fact, it's certainly possible, but it's worth mentioning people might assign that character as Bordeline, or with Bordeline traits. What I mean to say is, sometimes I would make the character worry others for absolutely nothing. Make them feel like something completely normal is a big deal they needed to tell others, and then they get shut down. Maybe it's anecdote, but it's an experience extremely common to me. Not to mention I would also add how they don't feel as much as they portray, they're heavily expressive of pain or something of the sort while they themselves don't feel that much tied to the pain. I myself was going through abuse and I loved to talk about how depressed it made me when I sincerely thought I was barely affected by it.

I would also mention that HPD doesn't always seek attention because they need an ego boost. HPD isn't the kind of disorder that's above embarrassing oneself or making themselves look bad. Sometimes the attention isn't because someone feels deep self hatred without it, but it's just because they need to be noticed. It's less about “I want to be praised” and more about “I want to be seen”. Of course, it's obviously about self-esteem and acceptance too, but there are occasions in which a person with HPD has a perfect sense of self-esteem and still seeks out attention because they need attention, not admiration. And it's worth showing to not mess it up with another kind of disorder such as NPD. I hope this makes sense.

This is all the advice I have to give, hopefully I didn't get anything wrong.

i know that compulsively lying is wrong. i know that lying will always get me in trouble and make me unhappy in the long run, i know that very well. but lying always gets me to be with the people i want to be. lying gets me where i feel happy, even if afterwards im miserable. lying gets people to pay attention to me. i know it's wrong to chase after short-term satisfaction, but i can't help it. and when the consequences of lying get to me, i end up crashing. i end up having panic attacks, and feel as if my whole life is flashing before my eyes. but will i stop? no.
