We have a lot of voices on the gender critical side who have done extraordinarily well with bringing attention to how young people with autism and same sex attraction are disproportionately at risk of falling victim to trans medicalization. We rarely hear about how foster kids are disproportionately more likely to identify as trans.

According to the Cass Report, foster kids made up 25 % of gender clinic referrals yet foster kids only make up 0.67% of the general population.

This means foster kids are 37 times more likely to identify as trans than other children.

Foster kids often experience severe trauma, including neglect, abuse, and instability. Trauma can lead to dissociation, identity confusion, and a desire to escape one’s past, which might make some more vulnerable to seeing gender transition as a way to start over.

one of my childhood best friends transitioned at the age of 13 after her mother unexpectedly passed away and she we went into fostercare. we got separated for a while because of the obvious, but when we were around 16/17 years old all of us old friends got together and started hanging out again. i was the only one who thought her transition was connected to her moms death and being thrown into fostercare. they told me i was phobic, but i know i was the only one who actually cared about her. i think about her all the time. she refuses to talk to me because i won't use her new name, but i refuse to encourage her and be part of her harm. i remember when we just little girls together, playing outside and writing comic books together. they always called her a tomboy too, which i'm sure is part of it also. but i hope if she detransitions she reaches out to me on facebook.

the pedophile is typically someone the child knows, with parental figures and other family members making up the largest amount of documented cases. obviously most often these people are men.

there was a study done that showed girls were 8 times as more likely to be sexually abused when a stepfather or mother's boyfriend lives in the home. i think it's safe to assume little boys are at a similar risk with figures like this in the home as well.

as a csa victim, i think the biggest red flag of irl pedos is someone who wants access to a child alone, and someone who wants a relationship with a child that doesn't include other people, especially their parents. someone who is a little too generous with the child, a little too loving and enjoying of the child for someone who is not their parent. and for sibling offenders (im not talking about cocsa, i'm talking about older sibling type that lives in the house) it is usually obvious to the family that the offender has some sort of issue, even if they aren't aware it's sexual as well. they'll usually have behavioral issues, be dominating and aggressive, and have a history of violence in other ways.

literally the best way to protect children is to stop giving people access to children. teaching a kid about boundaries and to speak up only does so much. children shouldn't be alone with extended family, coaches/teachers/mentors, neighbors, etc. children shouldnt be at sleepovers or alone at playdates. mothers need to stop moving boyfriends in, and be extremely selective and exclusionary of serious partners until they have known them for multiple years before they even introduce their children. and when they do get married, they need to put their children before their new partner and always be suspicous. and when there is a known dangerous or strange family member, there needs to be no access to the children, even if it means severing the relationship.

and if you have some sort of suspicion of something, or are confused about something that has happened, or someone has accused of something happening- immediate intervention needs to happen. so often children who are sexually abused DO tell someone, or it is discovered in other ways, and people do nothing about it. they rationalize and say the kid is confused, or they say they are lying, or just bury it. looking the other way makes you as guilty as the offender.

I’ve been thinking about how trans identified people often seem to want to be able to claim the trauma of losing family that LGB people so often experience when they come out. For LGB people, losing family is the absolute worst case scenario and we will often tolerate really annoying or even upsetting behaviour from our family, because “at least they didn’t disown me, I can’t really complain”.

But for trans identified people, they will cut their family off for any tiny reason. Your father has concerns about you getting cosmetic surgery? He’s a transphobic bigot and you need to go no-contact. Your mother is suggesting that maybe your trans identity was born from internalised misogyny? She’s evil and hates you and you need to go non-contact. It’s almost like trans identified people are eagerly waiting for any little excuse to claim that their family isn’t accepting and therefore needs to be cut off, and the trans community is encouraging this. They’re so quick to say “omg your parents are so transphobic! You need to get away from them for your own safety!”, y’know, like a cult does.

Then I think to myself, no no that’s ridiculous there’s no way that trans identified people want to lose their family. But then they pull stunts like this and I start to think that I’m onto something.

because for the young ones, they are often upper middle class and rich white people in a developed country, who privately feel like they are privledged, but need to escape it somehow with "trauma" because how can privledge co-exist with their oppressed, disenfranchised, victim identity?

they also need trauma because they hate themselves and are stunted to a point where they dont grow or function normally in society for their age. they are unsuccessful in certain ways and they know it, so they need a trauma that rationalizes why they are the way they are, so that they don't have to grow and take personal accountability for their lives.

these are the people who collect diseases and disorders, need unnecessary accommodations, are often extremely disorganized and unmotivated, many who refuse to work and be responsible for money, they will crowd-fund, etc.

but if they have trauma they can say they are victims to it, that they are rightfully depressed and its not their fault. thus they dont have to take personal responsibility to grow and change.

they stay 14 forever and they dont want people to call them out on it, and they dont want to mentally confront that fact to themselves.

so getting "disowned" or estranged is a trauma they can induce when they please for extra points.

People who cling the most tightly to their identity labels as a means of defining themselves are usually just compensating for being completely uninteresting people.

The fact I’m a woman, a lesbian, a brunette, whatever – these are all beyond my control and actually quite boring on their own. The things that might make those aspects of my identity more interesting is what experiences I may have had because of them. I love these things about myself wholeheartedly, because that’s what self-acceptance is. But I won’t pretend (beyond a few jokes here and there) that they’re what makes me interesting. What I learn, say, do, have lived through, love – they are what defines me.

It’s why I feel sympathy for those in LGBT spaces today, or even idpol heavy ideologies, who cling to micro-identity labels because they don’t know how else to express they have a personality. And when those calling the shots in these ideologies create hierarchies of these micro-identities, of course they feel personally offended when they are deemed not oppressed or privileged enough. They’ve attached every aspect of their being, of their understanding of themselves, to these labels.

It's pretty clear that a lot of TIM anger comes from jealousy.

They're angry about TIFs being welcomed in lesbian spaces because they want to be there instead, they think they're more worthy of being there. They frame it as concern for "men in lesbian spaces" and it makes them furious, because they know inside that they are the actual men in lesbian spaces.

They're angry about women and TIFs talking about our sex based oppression, because they wish they had oppression to talk about. They try to claim they're oppressed for their dicks, but deep down they're aware that they know nothing about sex based oppression and never will.

They're extremely angry about lesbians existing. They grew up feeling entitled to women's bodies, and lesbians rejecting them made them angry because they wanted access to them. So they tried to make up a workaround by identifying as a lesbian, and it infuriates them when it doesn't work, because they so badly want to force women into having sex with them.

They all try to pretend their anger is about trans rights or justice, but in reality they're just painfully jealous that all they have is male experience and they'll never have anything else.

Just found out that women have to borrow more to pay for college, and then take longer to pay back their loans. Parents save more money for their sons, because of the breadwinner gender role. Colleges avoid taking too many girls into their classes and give boys' applications a second look. Once in college, girls are more likely to send money back to their parents to help support them (the same parents who saved less for their college education, because sons are the breadwinners...). Lots of female dominated professions like nursing require degrees, but any field with 'too many women' pays less. Once they're in the field, even if it is male-dominated, women are again paid less than their male counterparts (women are more likely to be penalized for asking for raises etc, and more likely to be overlooked for promotions). If they become mothers, that sets them back even further.

But men still complain that there are special scholarships for women. Lol.

Between this and the study that came out recently saying single women buy over a million houses more than single men, modern women are really proving that we are the superior gender. One thing that led me to detransitioning was the realization that I hated being a woman, I didn’t hate being female. I hated being made to be quiet, being always less than my male peers and male friends and brother, being sexualized from a young age. Here are some reminders:

-Nobody should ever lose human rights because of their sexuality.

-Pride started as a protest and we can largely thank Black lesbian women for fighting for our rights. Stormé DeLarverie specifically.

-Children belong at Pride. LGBT kids and teens deserve to feel included too, especially those who don’t have supportive families.

-It’s okay to use qu**r for yourself, but please don’t use it for the whole community. Many of us aren’t okay with it.

-It’s LGBT, not LGBTQIA+ and especially not 2SLGBTQIA+.

-There’s no such thing as “respecting each other’s beliefs” and “agreeing to disagree” when it comes to gay rights. There is no justification for homophobia, yes even if your bullshit religion says so. The only solution for homophobes is the Charlie Kirk treatment.

-Related to that last point, don’t give your money to homophobic companies (if you can). Chick-fil-A says “we can respect others without agreeing with all their beliefs” but being LGBT and thinking they deserve equal rights isn’t a fucking belief. There’s nothing to disagree with.
