Hiatus

Just an fyi- I'm sure it comes as no surprise, but I'm going to be putting this blog on hiatus. I don't know when I'll be back. If I'll be back. I keep getting slammed with life and can't catch my breath. I even tried reaching out for help. Suffice it to say, that didn't end well.

I'm not okay. I haven't been for a while, and I think to anyone who knows me closely, that's pretty obvious. To everyone here, thank you for being so awesome and welcoming. I could shout you out one by one and make myself cry like some last hurrah type shit, but you know who you are and I don't want to keep crying. You guys are the best.

Blech!  Each time I watch Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s “A Simple Investigation” I try not to hate it, but I just can’t help myself.  Odo’s actions in this episode are way too inconsistent with his usual character.  Having Odo give voice to those inconsistencies in the script does not make it excusable; it just means the writers knew they had a problem and didn’t have a way out of it.  Beyond that, this episode is just boring and creepy.  There are a lot of scenes of Odo and this woman (whatever her name is – I don’t care) standing around talking slowly and quietly as if they’re afraid of waking some baby sleeping in the corner.  And I cringe when I get to watch Odo being insecure about how he was in bed.  And the whole “Odo, tell me about the sexual encounter you had with someone else on your home world; it’s so sexy” thing – no, thanks.  I’ll just be over here crying with the baby in the corner.
