Like, I GENUINELY don’t understand the point of Generative AI. The entire point of art is to make it. The fun part is the act of creating it. I’m always SAD when I finish a story or a piece of art. The act of creating is the single most joyous part of art, in any form. Writing, drawing, filming, sculpting, knitting, ANY form of creative expression. MAKING the art piece is the fun part!

The way this fandom handles certain characters or people enjoying certain characters kinda bothers me, a big example and the one im gonna actually rant about being, you guessed it, Usurna
It doesnt bother me that people point out the things she does, it bothers me that people will use specific aspects about her character thag are also found in a good chunk of other characters, like she did this thing and she is the worst person ever for it but this other character, alot of which are male, did the same thing or something simlar and its not as big of a deal. Big example is people using her treatment of changlings and jim as a big reason to why she is so much worse than the other characters when.. alot of the trolls are inherently like this? That doesnt mean its okay obviously but they all called the changlings impures and treat them like shit, they all have a distrust towards humans. There is a whole scene where the trolls threaten to kill Strickler for simply being a changling and are very quick to toss Jim out alongside him when gods forbid he even slightly defends him.
Drall who is heavily implied to have had a romantic relationship, or at the very least attraction for nomura STILL calls changlings impures, on multiple occasions. Bular, who works with changlings during his entire arc in season 1 not only threatens to kill them on a regular basis, but also is shown to have no second thoughts on causing them physical harm and very clearly has little to no respect for them. Gunmar who was treated so well by changlings, given Vendals heartstone staff to help him get some strength back, who was given a place to hide out for a while to again get his strength back and come up with a plan, went on to kill the entire Janus order in Arcadia for deadass no reason.
Then most other reasons for hating her are things like "oh she betrayed the trollhunters and she killed Vendal" first of all, if betrayal is the issue than we should be burning Dictatious at the stake because he in his own words betrayed his own kind for Gunmar, he did not care to go groveling to the trollhunters until after Gunmar tried to kill him for basically lying to his face for however long just to save his own skin. Second of all i would argue dhe was never really fond of them in the first place? Even before she came out and said she was on Gunmars side she had an obvious disliking towards jim and his freinds becaise she like many other trolls in the show, has a disliking towards humans, and her and Vendal were butting heads from the start. And if we are talking about her killing Vendal Angor killed AAARRRGGHH and Gunmar (and Angor as well) killed Drall but ya'll are all over them. As for her trading the krubera whelps to Gunmar, honestly thats is definitely a genuine reason to not like her, its a great reason actually, my only issue is the fact that alot of people seem to ignore the fact that Gunmar should also 100% share the blame in that, the only reason she did that in the first place was Gunmar, and yet she is the only one that i see people upset about. (Im sure some people blame him to but from ive seen its mostly her)
Again im not saying you can't critique the things she does, it would be stupid of me to sit here and say that she does no wrong when she is in fact meant to be a villan. However it irks me so bad that people in this fandom have such a hatred towards her for things that numerous other characters both good and bad have done, to the point of even going on posts about her and feeling the need to express how they themselves hate her even if the post is meant to appreciate her character. You guys will glaze the shit out of Gunmar, Angor, Bular, and yet go and act like its some sort of big deal when people like her character.
you dont have to like her but its a pattern ive noticed and now have also experienced on other platforms that happens when you post something about Usurna, she is admittedly my favorite character, ive have always loved her character does that mean i think what she does is okay? Absolutely not, you guys dont think what Gunmar does is okay and yet i see plenty of love for him. Because she is my fav alot of the stuff i draw in regards to trollhunteds is her, but at this point i dont even have an intrest in posting it because of how alot of the fandom interacts with posts about her.
