As of TODAY Twitch has quietly added the Generative Ai Training model into your account without your permission.

For the time being it is TOGGLEABLE and you can TURN IT OFF!

However, we do not know if Twitch will force this to be on at all times like some other platforms, like X/Twitter, have previously done.

Regardless of IF YOU STREAM OR NOT you should TURN THIS "TRAINING FOR GENERATIVE AI" SETTING OFF IMMEDIATELY!

To do so you must go to: https://www.twitch.tv/settings/security

And then scroll all the way down near the bottom.

There you'll find the "Training for Generative Ai" setting, toggle it to OFF!

Be sure to keep sending messages to Twitch that you do NOT want this to exist.

And another reminder that if you do stream on Twitch, like I do, you should start preparing you and your audiences to migrate elsewhere ASAP.

Literally one time i had a nightmare about this dead woman as a ghost stalking me and it scared me so incredibly bad in the moment but then i reflected when i Awoke and thought: Why is it that women are depicted as supernatural beings so much more often, and are 'scarier' than male ghosts .. its because women are so so easily othered and seen as untrustworthy historically because misogyny so actually Girl Ghost dream was very lacking tbh

Also i checked and the wikipedia list of female ghosts is longer than the list of male ghosts so its actually #true...

The way men in horror are othered and made 'scary' is just by making them different (+serial killer or serial assaulter), like bad racial stereotypes or gay or trans or neurodivergent in unpalletable ways. But the women don't have to do something wrong besides existing as women </3 (i've also noticed a lot of the time its like 'maternal instincts but twisted and fucked up' like a mother eating her baby. I have never seen a scary twist of father eating his baby im gonna be so real. because women are just so much more often defined by their maternity yk?? and its really amplified in horror settings ) Damn. Anyways i love women i hope i can see them turn into bugs or something instead of another evil maternity twist bc blegh
