i hate summer break. i like studying and working, they are my favourite things to do. i feel like i have been staring at a wall for days.

so as it's currently summer break here, i am gonna try to be more active here. my goals for this time are numerous:

1. that i finish my first draft of the paper i am working on.

2. that i prepare for the next academic year (both for work and uni)

3. that i workout consistently

4. that i leave the house every day, work somewhere other than at home and also explore my city

5. that i go to the beach at least once

6. that i take loads of pictures

7. that i finish at least one creative project a week (and i mean specifically fiber arts, possibly writing)

overall, i plan on studying a lot (i LOVE studying and work doesnt really leave me much time to study for stuff outside of exams), being creative and doing stuff everyday, so that every single day feels long. wish me luck!

update: today it was stormy and rainy and very dark and i finally slept well. i miss winter and its long nights.

★ i’ve been thinking a lot about my dream day as i haven’t had one in literally forever. so here how it goes: i wake up, drink tea or coffee. the usual, right? no. because then, i watch a video or, even better, a movie. for me, watching a movie in the morning is the real luxury. only after that do i get ready, dressed to either go out, have a nice walk, or go buy something or simply stay at home: reading, making music, writing, studying for personal hobbies.

in about a month, i should be able to have such a dream day. 🥹

i go to work like normally, but am done at 1, and then i go to acting class, i get home by 4, embroider, talk to my partner, watch a star trek episode projected on the wall of the bedroom and drink tea while cuddling under a thick blanket cause it's autumn or winter.

my life is pretty similar to this, but never do these things all happen in the same day. i either go to work the whole day, or i spend the day preparing for and going to acting class, or i spend the whole day with my partner. i think i'd just like all of them to happen daily.

man, it sure is a fun time when exam season comes at the same time as my students’ final evaluations, the play i star in, the school play my students are in (for which i’m solely responsible), and the school auction event with my other students (for which i'm also solely responsible).
