@redroyaume
this image actually makes complete sense & that is a fucking trip & a half.
You can take it back even further to the Archudke’s assassin just bumping into him deciding to get a sandwich. One man’s need for lunch 100 years ago gave rise to tentacle porn half the world away. What a world.
Is anybody going to explain?
No? Okay.
1. Archduke Ferndinand is murdered, causing World War 1.
2. The Allies win WW1, imposing the Treaty of Versailles on Germany.
3. This causes tension between Germany and the rest of Europe, something Adolf Hitler takes advantage of and begins WW2.
4. Japan joins the axis in WW2 in order to expand their empire.
5. The Axis is defeated, and Japan comes under US occupation.
6. American soldiers bring comic books, cartoons, and other American mediums to Japan which stay behind even after the occupation is over.
7. Post-WW2 Japan imposes strict censorship laws that include the banning of most conventional porn.
8. Japanese citizens retaliate by drawing comics with women having sex with vaguely penis-shaped objects like tentacles to exploit loopholes in the law.
9. It establishes itself as a fetish even after the laws are relaxed, and so Hentai was born.

Thank you @airyearthgirl for inspiring me to gif these amazing lines
No, this is a variation on a circle parry and a counter circle parry. Both are commonly taught in French and Italian style foil fencing.
A circle parry is when you avoid your opponents blade by moving your blade around theirs in a circle. A counter circle parry is circling around your opponents circle so that they can’t get their blade past to stab you.
When two fencers know each other well, this often happens. It becomes a game of chicken, it only ends when someone is willing to risk leaving an opening so that they can launch a different attack.
The foil version of this happens at least once a practice on my college fencing team. The only difference is that the blades are horizontal rather than diagonal.
Bolded for sadness
OUCH MY HEART
All great suggestions
This post gets better every time I see it
me realizing my experiences with sewing have been a lie this whole goddamn time:
I don’t know about human surgeons, but that’s a suture pattern I use to close skin all the time and you can see why.
The slip stitch (or invisible stitch) was created to hide seams and later used by surgeons.
My cousin is a surgeon and was sewing something and used that stitch and then froze and said “Wait this isn’t a person.”
Grandma said “We used it first keep going.”

they finally did it they made something even better than the box where a little cat paw reaches out and pulls the coin in
I just learned yesterday that Pikachu, my favorite Pokemon, was originally designed not by Ken Sugimori (he only finalized the design), but by a female graphic designer named Atsuko Nishida.
Also after googling her, I found out that she’s also designed Sylveon–another favorite PKMN of mine. She’s also illustrated some very pretty Pokemon cards!!
Thank you Ms. Nishida! :-) May you get more credit and love for your contribution to the Pokemon franchise.
as a camera shy person myself, knowing she hides behind plushies is just amazing
Her and Yoko Taro are legends at hiding from cameras. xD
Here’s some other Pokemon she’s designed, for anyone curious:

and not to derail this post into anything overtly political, but: If it weren’t for a woman in the gaming industry, we wouldn’t have freakin’ Charizard. I feel like that’s something more people should know about!
The sound my stupid cat makes when I move him from his favourite spot (on top of my jackets)
what kind of camera are you using this is like movie quality god damn
HE SOUNDS SO SAD PUT hIM BACK
So many great moments on Bob’s Burgers, this is one of the best. It’s my fav.

This is such a great show!!!!!
amazing how he resisted the temptation to devour that sign long enough for this picture to be taken, given how much he loves the taste of cardboard
Stop ironically stanning Dolly Parton and start acknowledging her for the genius that she is
her nonprofit the imagination library sends out monthly books, completely free of charge, to any child that wants it. anyone who knows anything about reading education will tell you that simply putting books into children’s homes is the best way to promote literacy. they even have braille and audio options!
we love dolly
As a Children’s Librarian I can testify that kids who grow up w/ books, see people reading, and have access to books grow up to be readers.
Dolly Parton also is a musical and songwriting genius. She's written over 3,000 songs and plays seven instruments.
She's supported charities benefiting Appalachia and shut down racism and misogyny for decades. She's incredibly brave.
Everyone needs to put some respect on her name.
