gonna hold so many people's hands when i say this but any man who is truly "woke" would not be able to grow up in the environment that is required to make it to the nhl. even if he votes blue and thinks gay people deserve rights, if he's in the nhl, he's complicit in an environment that has done so much harm to multiple communities. this is true for most male centric sport leagues, so i just don't get the surprise every single time something like this happens.
