The thing about Kralsusie is that Ralsei waited her whole life for Kris and Susie to arrive and Kris has harboured a fondness for Susie long before she said a kind word to them and Susie remembered Ralsei's pacify spell even when it seemed she didn't care and Susie found a friendship that wasn't just for a joke and found security with them and Kris has twice protected Susie behind their shield going against the constraints of the being that controls them and Ralsei has twice protected Susie by turning offensive going against the very pacifism and restraint she has forced on herself and Susie has broken through every rule that locked up and hurt her friends to show them hope and Kris and Ralsei get to talk freely to each other when they think about Susie and Susie and Ralsei come from opposite ends at each other and collide like galaxies to become more realised versions of themselves and Susie and Kris have found a space of true implicit unspoken acceptance with a fellow weird outcast and they all pose cutely when the three of them get together (not just any two of them) and the three of them pick each other up when one of them falls down so they can keep going in the dark and the three of them share the burdens of fate and take its hits in turns to keep each other afloat and they chu-chu-choose each other a thousand times over and their happy endings are with each other forevermore into the future and and and and they are a TEAM goddamnit

Asgore is the first character in Deltarune who's actually treated the Dark Worlds as a lotus-eater Matrix dreamscape, and this is presented to us pretty unequivocally as a miserable moral failure on his end.

His eyes remain firmly fixed on "reality," and he's disinterested in and neglectful of his "perfect family" more or less from its inception. At best, he's "playing along." When Asgore fantasizes, it's about the Light World. Unreal scenarios, sure – parading their body through the streets, getting back with his ex-wife, skateboards with Azzy – but never the Dark World itself. Everything he does, he does in order to capture and kill the Knight, after which he intends to leave the Dark World.

And it sucks! It makes the Seven-Colored Flowers miserable (and we see way more of them than Asgore; our sympathies align naturally with them over him). It doesn't make Asgore happy either, and it certainly doesn't help him fulfill his equally-implausible nostalgic visions of being big hero copman again.

Escapism, nothing. This is why I can't take seriously anyone who suggests Susie's living situation is her running away from the real world. The Dark may be a dream, but treating it as a valueless illusory prison doesn't actually get you any closer to reality.

you know, I just realized this but when we equip equipment onto party members, kris is the one who physically places/gives the equipment to them

(i.e. ribbons being 'put on' by kris)

so this means kris gently tied the red ribbon onto susie's hair when she said they could put it on her

maybe that's why they looked smug about it ehdkhdksnsks

aside from the Kris lamp possibly being forshadowing for flowery items

So, Susie not only slept in the dark world, but she actually slept in Kris's bed

and then she's asking if Kris's room could be more Kris like

which means that, not only does she know Kris well enough by now to be able to tell that their room is still a bit generic

But

that she was able to tell that because she has been MISSING Kris when she slept in the dark world

because Kris has been missing from the room

and because the room isn't fully Kris-like it wasn't able to give Susie the Kris comfort she has been missing!!!

Something I forgot about until just now, the way Susie talks to Kris in the end of ch5 when you "walk her home" kind of can be read as Susie being vague bc she's embarrassed or that Kris has done this before and already knew. If you take her to the apartments, she says something like, "Kris, you know that's not what I meant." When you finish, she just thanks Kris and leaves without acknowledgement. If you decline and Kris puts you in balloon jail, they walk side by side straight to the school, like Kris knows exactly the path to take.

It's very sweet to me that they've probably been hanging out off screen without us and even have connections that we are not privy to. It's not something WE get to have as us, the player, Kris, and Susie. That was just for Kris and Susie. I may be wrong but I think the only other major thing that Kris gets to have without us interfering is their piano playing (you may include whatever is happening with the Knight here but while we are in the dark about it, we are still directly oppositional so I don't really count it myself). So I guess if we needed more evidence that Kris and Susie don't need us to be friends, that's there.
