Incoming analysis on Susie and the possible falling out with Kris over the SOUL and the "Bunker group chat" under the cut bc it's quite long. More musing around Susie and her triggers around trust and her relationship to Kris than possible plot points
The only times Susie has gotten into a fight/argument after befriending was her actual fight with Lancer and her argument with Ralsei and I think what stands out between them is that Lancer and Ralsei did not trust Susie and withheld information from her. The people Susie puts so much trust in and sees so much good in, did not trust her in turn and, from Susie's perspective, it confirms her worst fears that she IS untrustworthy, she's a bad kid and nobody will ever truly believe in her. It must feel like every bad assumption about her is proven right.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of uninterested in trying to speculate how this reveal will go, because all this said, I think it says a lot about Susie that she still manages to overcome these interpersonal issues even if it's pretty triggering for her. I do think it IS different with Kris, because they're in a similar situation. They're the town's weird kid and live kind of isolated from everyone else, which Susie does gently take note of even if she doesn't bluntly address, likely wanting to give Kris the ability to share at their own pace, and Susie later realizes in ch5 how strained their family is. I can imagine this sort of betrayal hitting harder with Kris bc they're so similar in these ways, relating to each other in a way that she can't relate to Noelle, Ralsei, and even Lancer.
I'm not very sure how she'll react to a SOUL reveal, bc it's so abnormal from what we see her react to. It's most similar in extremes to Ralsei telling her the nature of Darkners but is also very different. She definitely did and does struggle with it, but also reaffirms that she doesn't care, her friends are still real to her and she cares about their well-being and lives. It may be similar, she struggles with the nature of who she has been spending time with but ultimately decides that Kris is still her friend, they still went out of their way to help her, goof around with her, and I speculate that Kris even walks her "home" after ch4 without our influence. I also think, in that vein, she would choose to ally with us too after how much we've tried to help. This is just with current information though. I try not to speculate TOO much here, bc I really don't think we have enough to know the wider context of how/if this will happen.
Kris withholding about the Knight and possibly more is hard to speculate as well, because we don't know for sure what they're doing or why. I don't think Kris is bad or even likes doing this tbh and that becomes more and more true as they get closer with the others. It is less out there than the SOUL stuff, though, and harder to justify keeping from Susie, especially when looking at how devastated Susie is by every loss to the Knight. I DO think they'll come back from this, but also I think Kris will have to work a bit harder for forgiveness and have very very good reasons, which I do think they have. I don't think they're actually sacrificing people, especially their own dad, but still Tenna would've died/does die depending on optional factors; who Susie really liked and wanted to help with his familiar struggles of feeling lost and without a true home; and Flowery; who Susie did like and caused her to struggle with her responsibility has a hero and as someone who empathized with the flowers' dreams, is just dead (until further notice at least). It's a pretty grave betrayal on top of the fear that the people she trusts the most don't trust her, even with things that directly affect her. Will they fully fight or have a falling out? I really don't know! I'm more looking at the nature of their relationship and how Susie may feel bc I don't think it's really possible to get the exact plot points down.
Anyway, Susie just wants her friends to trust her, especially when she's already involved and affected by the secret. Susie puts so much faith in her friends, that it feels like confirmation that she's a bad person who can't trusted when they hold back like this. This goes harder for Kris, who is outcast in their own way.
