Call me Reshi or Reshiram, I’m bisexual and nonbinary (any pronouns work, take your pick), and I’m 21. I’m halfway through getting my bachelor’s degree rn. I mostly use this blog as a resource to look back through when I need a boost, so I don’t have super serious shit on here too much. I also got some other blogs

@renegaderoyalty​ is my art blog. I post a lot of stuff about my ocs and worldbuilding projects there, but you’ll occasionally find fan content there too. You can get a pretty good gauge on whatever interest is at the forefront of my mind by looking through there.

@renegadenephilim​ is my Darksiders sideblog. My activity there is a little more sparse, but I’ve been trying to be a little better at that. If you’re getting followed by me and mostly post Darksiders content, this one’s for you. (Also y’all should play those games. they’re hella good if you like exceptionally dramatic characters)

Here's what's gonna happen. You're gonna take 4 russet potatoes. You're gonna peel them and dice them. You're gonna set them in a bowl of cold water so they don't oxidize. Then you're gonna cook a half pound of bacon until crispy and set it aside. You're gonna melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a dutch oven. No more, no less. Add some diced onion and garlic to that. Saute it for a couple minutes. Then you're gonna add 4 tablespoons of flour and make a roux. You're gonna add 3 cups of milk to the roux. Slowly. Don't get in a hurry. Then add 3 cups of chicken stock. Add plenty of salt and pepper. Bring it to a boil. Add your potatoes in. Let that simmer for 20 minutes. Then you're gonna add some sour cream, the chopped up bacon from earlier, and some grated cheddar. You're gonna stir that together for 5 minutes. And then garnish it with a little green onion and shredded cheddar. You got it?

I want everyone to know that there are queers in the hollers of Appalachia, in the bayous and marshland of the Deep South, in Southwestern deserts, through the Ozark mountains and up to the Rockies. There are queers in the Great Plains, there are queers in rural America, in trailer parks of the Osage foothills. In the places you least expect us to live, we are here, carving out community and fighting for liberation with pride despite it all. Stop forgetting about us. Stop overlooking our experiences and our impact just because we don’t live in a Big Gay City. And for the love of God, stop looking at us with pity.

I live in a no-stoplight town in the south. There are three tractor stores and two animal supply stores within 25 minutes of my house, and we finally got a grocery store, apparently some time this year. We have no McDonald's or any other kind of chain restaurant.

I saw a redneck at the country store face down a guy whining about the trans menace and tell him to act like he had fuckin' southern manners, or move up north.

Hi. I would like to be mean to you and tell you that you sound weird and unhinged. Instead I will tell you this: there are more gay people in Alabama than you think. There are more people of color in Alabama than you think. There are more trans people in Alabama than you think. There are more people fighting for us in Alabama than you think. There are bigots everywhere in this country, and some of the worst of them live in New York, in Illinois, in Wisconsin, in Michigan, in California. And I think if you stop picturing the mythical southern redneck in your brain as a slavering beast and remember that each and every one of them is a person with wildly differing ideals then you might one day come to terms with that.
