Dean deserved that life he wanted with Miracle and to be free to do what he loved too, fixing cars and being into his hobbies. Why didn't Dean rescue Cas from empty and had this wonderful holiday with matching shirts and their two children and a dog. He had so much time after chuck lost. Why didn't he try? What kind of husband is? Man I am so sad. I think cas deserved better. I am sure Dean was tired of that manchild brother of him, who he was forced by his father to take care of. Like I know his father was dead for like 20 plus years but that doesn't change the fact that suddenly as soon as Chuck lost, dean become the perfect loveable man he was always meant to be with cas. I am sure, he couldn't wait to get rid of the whiny little sammy. Dean had a vision. He wanted to be a mechanic and go to beaches with his alpha husband and his children who he loved more than anything in this world and would happily sacrifice sam for. Friendly reminder that Jensen was just the actor, not a writer or the showrunner. The actual writers of the show have confirmed and shown the exact opposite: yes, Dean did reciprocate.

There are multiple deliberate parallels between Dean and Cas and other couples on the show, which clearly confirm that their relationship was written romantically.

In the final season, the writers repeatedly used Sam and Eileen’s romantic relationship as a mirror for Dean and Cas’s. One example: when Eileen tells Sam she doesn’t know what’s real anymore because of Chuck, Sam kisses her and says “I know that was real.” This directly mirrors the scene earlier in the season where Dean tells Cas that nothing in their lives is real because of Chuck, and Cas replies, “You asked what about all of this is real? We are.”

Another clear parallel: Sam loses Eileen and Dean loses Cas literally in the same episode, 15x18. In fact, the entire episode where Castiel confesses was built around characters losing their love interests, starting with Charlie losing Stevie, specifically to set up and mirror Dean losing Cas at the end. The writers genuinely could not have made it any clearer.

On top of that, they introduced Adam and Serafina — a human and an angel who were deeply in love — literally one episode before Castiel’s confession. That was obviously not accidental. It was clear foreshadowing and an extremely direct parallel to Dean and Castiel. Everyone knows the biblical Adam and Eve story, but Supernatural deliberately changed the narrative specifically to mirror Dean and Cas — a human and an angel, just like Adam and Serafina.

They did the exact same thing with Cain. They didn’t even cast an actor to play Abel. Instead, they created an entirely new character, Colette, Cain’s great love, specifically so she could mirror Castiel in Dean’s life. Cain literally tells Dean, “You’re living my life in reverse,” and says that Dean will kill Cas first and then Sam. Since Cain killed his brother first and then his love interest, Dean living the story in reverse means Cas is his Colette (the love interest) and Sam is his Abel (the brother). That was extremely explicit. That is not subtext — that is text.

And finally, in episode 15x19, right after Cas’s confession and death, Lucifer impersonates Cas in order to manipulate Dean into letting him in. That is the ultimate confirmation that Dean reciprocated. The show had already established Lucifer’s consistent method: he always impersonates the person’s dead love interest in order to manipulate them into letting him in. He did it with Nick by impersonating his dead wife Sarah, with Sam by impersonating Jessica, his dead girlfriend, and with Vince Vicente by impersonating Jen, his dead lover. And he did it with Dean by impersonating Cas.

Therefore, Castiel is canonically Dean’s love interest. Destiel is canon. You cannot argue against these canon facts.

Lol He’s not irrelevant because he played a huge part in crafting Dean in bringing him to life, and literally lived and breathed Dean Winchester for over 15 years.

Cass was never Collette, Dean barely tolerated him most of the time and I don’t think he ever once stopped for Cass, in the entirety of the series, except maybe if Cass threatened harm to him. If anyone was a Colette parallel it was Sam and Dean actually took back control of the mark and stopped when Sam called out to him to stop.

If Dean’s lack of reciprocation was purely due to being stunned it would have said “didn’t” or at least would have left it at “too stunned to respond” not “couldn’t” as “couldn’t” in this instance means “not capable”. The way it was worded is truly damming because: “could have, but didn’t because too stunned to say anything in that moment” vs “couldn’t, because sexuality not compatible” regardless of time constraints.

No, Sam and Dean offered to kill each other to get Chuck to bring EVERYONE including Cass back, with no indication that Dean had any intention to live on regardless of which scenario Chuck chose. Also, the only reason that Cass was specifically mentioned is because he wasn’t disappeared by Chuck like everyone else on earth, he was slurped away by the empty, so if they left it at “bring back everyone you disappeared” Chuck definitely wouldn’t have bothered with Cass, and as it was their friend, they had to at least ask.

Those quotes are proof because Dean meant them with his whole heart, and proved it too, as by Dean’s actions, certainly no individual person or being was ever more important to him than Sam.

The first time in purgatory he had no reason to think that Sam was in danger, so of course he was’t going to just abandon his friend without even trying. The second time however, when Dean knew for a fact that Sam was in danger from Chuck, he was literally going to abandon Cass in purgatory to run to Sam, and the only reason Cass made it out that time was because he got himself out of the mess he was in and back to Dean before Dean hopped out of the portal. Also, when he said that to Sam over Charlie, he had the Mark of Cain, was grieving Charlie and was being petty and hurtful over that, but not serious, as he’s never even considered sacrificing Sam for anyone, and would trade literally anyone for Sam (and has).

There's lots of discussion about Sam stooping and hunching to hide his height. Sam vs. Soulless Sam is such a great illustration of this. Soulless is straight, tall, imposing; normal Sam is almost curled in on himself. Great physical acting by Jared.

I can’t get over the work Jared did as Soulless Sam in general, but this episode in particular is just *chefs kiss* 😘.

Seeing Sam face-off with S.Sam … it was just so good.

I think I like season 6 so much in large part to Jared’s acting. I enjoy watching him do his thing. And it’s kind of fun watching Jensen have to play Dean as more subdued to counter Sam being off. I know he didn’t like it, but I enjoyed the temporary change-up.

I'm sorry but the POINT is that Dean wasn't good at raising sam.

Sam is salty about this ofc, which is why he gives Dean so much shit about not being good with kids even when he is actually great with them. the idea is that Dean Winchester, while being his brother's primary caretaker at most times, was still a borderline (canonically?) abused child. He made fun of Sam the way older brothers do, he got annoyed of Sam, he'd leave Sam to go "out."

He didn't do a good job at teaching Sam valuable things like "sharing is caring" or whatever but he kept Sam alive. He remembers that part of his childhood, which is why Sam is literally the most precious thing he has. Sam, on the other hand, remembers growing up with his jerk brother and an absent father instead of all the things dean had to do to keep him alive ((proved in the early flashback with the shtriga)), which is why he's so keen on just leaving.

None of their faults btw they love eachother to pieces but Sam didn't have the best childhood and Dean had no choice but to leave his behind.

First, I don’t give a shit about Claire because she’s a crappy character. However, it’s ironic the heller crew would say something like “she loves her dads Dean and Cass,” while Cass was the literal monster who shattered her life, then took an interest in her for 5 minutes while he grew half a consiience, before abandoning her again. And Dean treated pretty much any young character they knew the same, interchangeably: protective when they are in front of of him, not thinking of them twice when they aren’t around. Also, Sam is the one who actually had the balls to treat her like a parent and call her on her bullshit. He was 100% right when he told her to stop acting like a child, he was the one who was there and comforted her when she was hurt, and he stayed closer while she got the cure.

As always, the heller agenda blinds them to facts, and their lack of understanding of human behaviour just makes them look silly.

(Also, she’s clinging to Sam here. If she hates him so much, why is she hugging him back?).

I’m confused why so many people are saying Jared was impaired and unprofessional Sunday. Yes, I heard he crashed a bunch of panels, and yes, I saw him and Jensen fall… but that’s all something that could happen normally? The guy did just recover from a broken leg and may have been less stable than he thought. Having not seen all the videos, I’m wondering where this speculation is coming from? Has anyone actually at the con confirmed any weird behavior? I’m not saying he was stone cold sober (I know they all indulge at Jib), but I haven’t seen anything other than the usual suspects drawing conclusions and running with speculations as facts (as usual).

I feel like everyone’s tying it into what he said about his breakdown the night before, but we only knew about that bc he (and then Jensen) told us….

I’ve seen all the videos…he looks fine to me. I’ve seen some of these actors SUPER drunk. Looked like normal Jib con to me. Hellers are just mad because their sainted Jib Con is no longer the cockles con they used to brag about. Their panels never really happen anymore and Daniela doesn’t care to cater to them anymore. Anon, I was there and I assure you nothing happened. No one was drunk, no one acted strangely, and nothing unusual happened. This is all bullshit. Jared was fine, and in fact, I can assure you, he was very sweet and truly affectionate with all the fans. Everyone had a great time; it was a great weekend. No one crashed any panels. Check out the videos. Jared interrupted Rob and Richard's panel for a few minutes just to show everyone a lizard he found (which was adorable). Sure, he got a little emotional at the end of Saturday's panel because a question about Sam and his resilience touched him. God forbid he gets emotional just because fans feel a deep connection with him and Sam! But that's nothing new, and he was in great spirits on Sunday.

The panels didn't go as planned because Jensen stayed on for Jared and Misha's panel, and Jared stayed on for Jensen and Misha's panel because Misha asked him to stay.

It was a fun, lighthearted, and enjoyable convention for everyone, and that's the only reason the hellers are pissed and spreading so much bullshit.

Same. Jared was wonderful, Jensen was wonderful, Rich, Rob, Mark, Ruth, Jason, Ricky and yes I include Misha in the list because everyone was on top form. I had a nice anecdote about Misha that I might not share now because they don't deserve to hear it.

The weekend was a lot of fun with a maybe slightly higher than usual amount of chaos because of The Boys finally airing and Jared's return to a Supernatural convention for the first time in almost 6 months. But that hotel was packed full of nothing but love and support. I was in the panel room all the time I wasn't in ops and timed it all so I didn't miss anything from Jared or Jensen on stage (except the lizard moment).

People five thousand miles away complaining about stuff that didn't happen at an event they weren't at...

We did mock the hell out of them when we saw what lies they were trying to spread on social media though 😂😂
