he notices things most people let slip through the cracks. like how you always reach for the warmest mug, or how your voice dips quieter when youāre tired. he doesnāt point it out, doesnāt make a show of it, just quietly adjusts. the kind of attention that feels like being held without hands.
he doesnāt rush you. not your words, not your feelings, not your silences. conversations with him feel like slow mornings where nothing is urgent and everything is allowed to exist as it is.
his consistency isā¦ dangerously comforting. the same steady tone, the same grounded presence. no guessing games, no emotional whiplash. loving him feels like standing on solid earth after walking on unstable ground for too long.
he takes care of things before you even realize they need taking care of. your bagās a little too heavy? somehow heās already holding it. youāre cold? his jacket is on your shoulders before you can protest.
he listens like your words matter. not just nodding along, but actually absorbing, remembering, returning to things youāve said days later. it makes you feel seen in a way that lingers.
heās not loud about affection, but itās everywhere. in the way he walks on the side closer to the road, in the way he waits for you to start eating before he does, in the quiet ādid you get home safe?ā texts.
he doesnāt try to impress you. and somehow, thatās what makes him impressive. thereās no performance, no need to prove anything. he just is. and that āisā is enough to pull you in.

Hellenistic Robert.
Pre-game, I think he worshipped Athena (for strategy and courage in battle) and Tyche (for luck and good fortune). When Shroud breaks out, an Altar for Nemesis joins his windowsill.
Post-coma but still Pre-story, he leaves out small offerings to Asclepius (in hopes for a fast and easy recovery).
The night he accepts the deal, he starts to pray to Hephaestus, asking for an easy journey repairing the suit and promising to set up a proper Altar for him once he has money and space.
When the Z-Team comes over for an unexpected house party, he still begrudgingly lets them in with the STRICT rule that they are not to touch or place anything on his windowsill (he doesnāt have the money for a proper Altar space, so the windowsill has to do for now).
Malevola (and surprisingly Colm) are the only ones who remotely understand what he means, and they explain it to everyone when Robert goes to put on pants.
The Z-Team finds it cool as all hell.
After some poking, Robert eventually talks. He reveals that he got into it shortly after his dad died. It wasnāt one big event, but he started reading some of his old Greek Mythology books to comfort himself and it put him on the path of discovery. After some drinks, he reveals how heās been saving up his paychecks to buy a proper Altar space, preferably one with multiple places he could put them, like a desk with a lot of shelves.
A desk just like what he described is found in his room a few days later, along with a proper bed (frame, mattress, sheets, pillows, blankets), a dressed, an armoire, and working coffee machine.
He (with permission) moves his four existing Altars onto the desk, as well as fulfilling his promise to make one to Hephaestus. A sixth Altar joins shortly after, dedicated to Hestia, as a thanks for the warmth and family she brought into his life.
Bonus:
The unused shelves on his desk, the now empty space on his windowsill, and the top of his dresser become spaces for the others Altars. For funsies, hereās who I think the Z-team (+ extras) would set up an altar for.
