Peter Burke sighed as he looked at the painting in front of him. It was a beautiful work of art, but he knew that it was a fake. Neal Caffrey had made it, and Peter was going to have to tell him that it was wrong.
He found Neal in his office, working on another painting. "Neal," he said. "I need to talk to you."
Neal looked up from his work. "What is it, Peter?" he asked.
"I know about the painting," Peter said. "The one you made."
Neal's face fell. "Oh," he said. "I was hoping you wouldn't find out."
"I know it's tempting," Peter said. "But stealing from artists is wrong."
"I know," Neal said. "But it's not like I'm hurting anyone. I'm just making copies of paintings that are already out there."
"But it's still wrong," Peter said. "The artists put a lot of time and effort into their work, and they deserve to be paid for it."
Neal sighed. "I know," he said. "You're right. I'm sorry."
"It's okay," Peter said. "I know you didn't mean to do anything wrong."
"I'll never do it again," Neal said.
"I know you won't," Peter said. "Now, why don't you finish that painting? I'm sure it's going to be a masterpiece."
Neal smiled. "Thanks, Peter," he said. "I will."
Peter watched as Neal went back to work on his painting. He knew that Neal was a good artist, and he was proud of him for wanting to make a living from his work. But he also knew that Neal needed to learn to do it the right way.
Peter turned and walked out of the office, confident that Neal would never steal from artists again.
