I am genuinely getting so sick of this narrative some in this fandom have spun for themselves.
Robert literally chose Aaron YEARS ago. He chose to appeal because of Aaron. He has been consistent in wanting to be with Aaron since he got back from prison.
I am seriously so effing bored of people doubting Roberts love, which has canonically NEVER FUCKING WAVERED!!!, just because he also cares about another human being.
Not only that, but Robert is STILL on board with this plan to send K back to prison even though it makes him feel very guilty, since as far as he knows K saved him and protected him when he was vulnerable and still loves him despite how Robert completely ghosted him.
like I’m so so tired and annoyed with this. this idea that Robert isn’t putting Aaron first. He broke up with Kev. He’s going through with this plan to get rid of him to make Aaron happy and so they can be together publicly and to stop Aaron from getting hurt.
if you still doubt Robert’s dedication to Aaron after everything he’s done to prove it, then I’m sorry, but you’re always going to feel that way just because it’s Robert.
If anyone is using anyone in this scenario it’s Aaron, who only got back together with Robert because he’s running away from his trauma after his husband tried to kill him (and to be clear I do not judge him for that, I think it makes complete sense for him to seek comfort and safety with Robert).
I understand that a lot of people have their favs and their biases and there’s nothing wrong with that, but some of you constantly viewing everything Robert does through a critical, unsympathetic lens is getting fucking old, guys. It’s getting old.
