I think trans women pretending to get cramps might be the thing that irritates me the most.
āMy body thinks itās a woman now so it just says here you should be in pain once a month.ā
Are you fucking dumb? Do you truly have NO understanding of how the reproductive system works? I shouldnāt be surprised, most men donāt.
Itās the most over simplified, bullshit stereotype. Women donāt just get random pains in our stomach as a result of estrogen. Our uterus contracts to expel the thickened uterine lining it prepared in case of pregnancy. When we donāt get pregnant, the body determines it doesnāt need that extra uterine lining and it contracts to expel it, thatās why you donāt get a period when youāre pregnant.
Men donāt have uteruses. Men donāt get period cramps. If youāre experiencing stomach pain as a result of your hormones, thatās a side effect of the medicine youāre on. You didnāt grow a uterus. The estrogen didnāt give you a period.
Stop trivializing womenās experiences. Shut the fuck up.
And what is more, what little evidence exists on the topic of womenās health generally indicates that severe period pains, particularly after oneās teen years, are indicative of disorders like endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, and other pelvic issues. So they arenāt just mocking women in general, theyāre particularly mocking women who are ill and/or disabled.
actually, if these males taking estrogen are getting severe abdominal cramps and other issues, they should get checked out and not assume itās a ānormal woman thing teeheeā because in extremely rare cases, men can get endometriosis, and itās linked with increased estrogen through conditions like cirrhosis, obesity, and hormone therapy containing estrogen. men who had prostate cancer treated with drugs containing estrogen were several of the few cases.Ā
this is so incredibly rare that only around 20 men have been recorded as having it, but most doctors know little of endometriosis and fail to diagnose it in women, let alone men. i doubt most doctors know that men can get it. that combined with that massive increase in males transitioning has me concerned. there are so many side effects of transitioning that i doubt endometriosis is ever thought about. i wonder how many TIMs are walking around with endo-like tissue causing them severe pain or gastrointestinal issues and they just assume itās the hormones or some other side effect of various parts of transitioning.

I had a Male friend who transitioned and I shit you not, he literally told me that since he transitioned his period cramps were so hard to deal with, he was always craving chocolate, and always cried so much. Like imagine the shock and terror in my face at that moment as he tells me this sexist bullshit. Also, he stated that he told his BOSS that his period cramps were too bad and that is why he snapped at him. Can you imagine if a woman did that and got away with it? What the fuuuuuck.
I... there are no words. āAlways craving chocolate.ā Did they get their ideas on how to be a woman from romcoms? The male privilege is so evident in that post.
