This is for all y’all who don’t understand how terrifying these suckers are.
I know just the man for the job.
This is a good joke. This is such a solid, quality joke.
@explainingthejoke ?
The initial image is a size comparison between the statue of liberty and a wind turbine. The wind turbine is over ninety feet (about 28 meters) taller.
A commenter pretended to misinterpret the image as one of a wind turbine attacking the statue of liberty. The next commenter answered with an image of Don Quixote, a literary character who once thought a windmill was a monster and announced his plans to fight it. They are joking that if a wind turbine attacked the statue of liberty, Don Quixote would be willing to fight the wind turbine.
Incidentally, that scene led to the English idiom “tilting at windmills,” meaning a person who has not only disproportionate reactions of anger, but disproportionate reactions of anger to nonexistent challenges.
So all those people who are fighting to preserve coal jobs and the fossil fuel economy are….
actually…
tilting at windmills.
I feel like this is one of the very few times where explaining the joke leads to another one that everyone can now understand and laugh at
This an amazing post
real quality, start to finish.
This is why social media was invented
Vaccination procedures are a highly politically motivated non-science, whose practitioners are only interested in injecting multitudes of vaccines without much interest or care as to their effects. Data collection on reactions to vaccines is only paid lip service, and the obvious ineffectiveness of vaccines to prevent diseases is glossed over. The fact that natural infectious diseases have beneficial effect on the maturation and development of the immune system is ignored or deliberately suppressed. Consequently, parents of small children and any potential recipients of vaccines and any orthodox medications should be wary of any member of the medical establishment (which is little more than a highly politicised business system) extolling the non-existent virtues of vaccination.

You can never formulate “wizardcore” as a coherent aesthetic category because it’s impossible to distinguish it from just being a wizard. Wizards doing regular wizard stuff are already more “-core” than most actual “-cores”.
there’s a common misconception that people talking about “wizardcore” are talking about an aesthetic. they are actually just talking about the wizard core, an immensely powerful arcane relic widely believed to be lost to time

“Books” Contest: Runner-up #5

This made me laugh - a very funny cartoon about what’s left of books. I’m just afraid that someone will take this idea seriously and that soon this will be for sale.

A vital part of being an artist is allowing yourself the time to play and experiment with different mediums or ideas. Sadly, this kind of playful art-making often falls to the wayside for me, so recently I busted out my watercolors and, for the first time in a long time, I let myself play. These one-of-a-kind prints are the result! Each watercolor background is hand painted on round handmade paper, then screen printed with my Lady Datura artwork. (Catch a video of the screen printing process in the last slide.) I view these prints as the fine art sisters to my hand-dyed altar cloths. With both, I love creating organic fields of color that drastically change the atmosphere around the screen printed artwork and carry it to a more magical realm. I’d love to know what you think of these new creations and which colors speak to you! Would you like to see these in the next shop update?
