They’ve been rebuilding the Tower of Babel, but this time they have a team of linguists on site. Every time God smites the builders and invents a dozen new languages, the linguists have a dozen decently sized translations in about a month and work can start up again.
The linguists have been really into it. They say the new phonemes are fascinating. As for God, I assume that at this point he’s just curious to see how far this goes.
To keep us on out toes, God gives the next group of builders an extra place of articulation called the flongus between the pharynx and the glottis, creating an entire new column of the IPA chart with sounds between sounds that are literally physiologically impossible for non-flongled people to replicate.
Improved symbols for the flongal plosives ("gacks"), flongal trill ("hacks"), flongal fricatives ("groans"), and and the flongal lateral approximant ("moans")
Update: The builders have now simply switched to communicating entirely through a universal sign language like they should've done to start with. No sounds need be spoken, flongal or otherwise. The Tower steadily rises. Be seeing you soon, God, you little bitch.
update: the builders are all speaking different sign languages now
I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. A man gets violent suddenly and you have to choose between homelessness or potentially dying at his hand because you have an enormous gap in your resume and no degrees or certifications or anything that will help you pursue a career that will allow you to be financially independent. He owns your bank account. His name is probably the one on the car. Try and leave and he can report it stolen. Where will you go then?
Don't become a housewife.
And if you do become a housewife, take steps to protect yourself. Make sure you’re legally married, for starters; stay-at-home girlfriends have very little legal recourse to claim their partner’s assets in a breakup. Make sure your name is on the house deed/rental agreement, and have your car in your name, even if your spouse is paying for it. Have your spouse transfer money every month into an account solely in your name, so you can buy yourself things without needing permission, but also so you can save up to leave if needed.
If your spouse fights you on any of this, then don’t quit your job. The tradwife to poverty pipeline is real, and so is financial abuse.
also, many women/people experience controlling behaviour and domestic violence from their partner for the first time during pregnancy. don’t risk thinking “he’s just stressed, it’ll get better when the baby comes” because it won’t. neither you and your child will ever be safe with that man. get out as early and safely as you can
It’s summer. What should Zato characters do during summer? A picnic 🙂↕️

So I'm practicing torrenting again and it's not uploading anything. "0MB uploaded this session" and I've had it up for a while. Any help would be appreciated
Are the correct ports forwarded on your router and computer's firewall? That could be the issue.
I checked with sites like canyouseeme and it said that my port forwarding was working. I'll admit I haven't considered firewalls as of yet. Not particularly tech savvy as of yet
Firewalls are a pain, I'd not be surprised if that was the culprit. Though, it could also be that nobody tried to download any of your active torrents since you downloaded them

ik nobody's talking about these songs anymore but I've been thinkin about this ship ever since ERB came out so... I call this "Confessions of a Rotten Ego Renegade Boy" because it's dumb and it fits them
genuinely obsessed w this concept now might draw these gay sillies more
we gotta get back to torrent distribution, i just watched someone eat eight grand in bandwidth charges because they ran a direct-download piracy site with local file hosting through cloudflare. torrents were invented literally for this exact reason
torrents work like this
i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3
unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it
i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map
i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs
this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.
crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.
please learn to torrent
An expert guide to get started using torrentsTorrents are one of the most popular forms of file sharing on the internet, accounting for over
always use qbittorrent, do not use bitorrent or utorrent.
wait, why not utorrent? I'm pretty sure I've been using it since childhood but i was never explained how everything actually works in there
bittorrent and utorrent were both owned by the guy who originally invented torrents, bram cohen. he sold his company to weird crypto guys in like 2018 or somethin and they put a bunch of sketchy shit in there. qbittorrent is just objectively the best client at this point (plus it's open source yay yippee)
On linux there's also transmission which can be used with many frontends (such as fragments)
Starting Tsui no Sora
Tsui no Sora is super underrated IMO, it's great! It's also very, very similar to SubaHibi
Yeah this is my 1st time with any of Sca-Ji's works and I'm really enjoying it so far. The art, prose, that creepy fucking eye always being and opening and closing, the vibes, I can already tell this is a work I'm excited to work through and that SubaHibi will be something special
I actually found myself preferring Tsui no Sora to SubaHibi because it spends a lot less time treading water. SubaHibi feels like it has too little to say in the amount of time it takes to read.
If I'm not mistaken, SubaHibi is something of a redo of Tsui no Sora? It'll be interesting to see the differences. I can already see what you mean, even without that context. Tsui no Sora really cuts right to the chase. Each day is a lot shorter compared to other vns I've read/started so far
Yeah, SubaHibi is essentially just a greatly expanded retelling of the story of Tsui no Sora, I feel like it adds a bit too much cruft though, and some of the scenes are needlessly long. I found that Tsui no Sora was a more enjoyable read (I also think the retro graphics are very cool)
I definitely agree about the graphics. The late 90s-early 10s moe era is one of my favourite in terms of aesthetics
Plus Tsui no Sora has a vibrant palette. The colours just pop so much, especially the blues and greens
The whole game feels like an acid trip in the best of ways, though I do wish the characters were a little less thin.
This image of a Reimu cosplayer face-down on tatami mats gives me gender envy for whatever reason.
