He carded millions of people, brainwashed children into soldiers, destroid an utopia like Heartland, tried to do the same to Miami and Neo Domino city, kidnaped four 14 years girls, fused those girls, that used to have a life and family (except for serena) to have his daughter back which he never achived, tried to “kill” our little tomato and not to mention he abandoned his wife and son. i still love how yuya turned out to be just like both of his parents despite being adopted like he’s as much a hardcore entertainer as his father and lives to make others smile, and then he’s also just as much the problematic, reckless child as his mother was when she was his age basically jumping into things headfirst in order to save his friends not even caring if he gets arrested in the process

he may not be theirs by blood but he is very much yusho & yoko’s love child *thanks the writers for once*

I don't understand how making the baby smile is supposed to stop Zarc in the first place. Like even if you make Reira egao, it doesn't solve any of the issues that made Zarc in the first place or how Zarc is so heavily subscribed to "wishes" of the Original world. Maybe you can explain it to me because I genuinely don't understand. (It's my feeling that a duel between Zarc and Yuya would get the point across better because it would get us to acknowledge Zarc's side of the story, but I'm biased.)

Because Zarc is sealed inside Reira? Reira lost his smile because of the toll it took him to do so, Yuya is no longer Zarc so him just dueling Zarc will not change anything either.

Mmm, I feel like this isn’t a bias issue but more of seeing things too literal way, because considering the spoilers of the upcoming ceremonial duel and how Zarc is literally referred as a demon, but still had some good in him, hence why Yuya came to exist.

In short they are literally performing a cleansing ritual on both Reira and presumably Zarc as well - because I seriously doubt they will left his side of the story hanging - which sounds weird from our perspective, but from Japanese culture with their Buddhist and Shinto beliefs; both of which have heavy references in Arc V; it’s the something of a custom to perform these rituals in houses, temples and yes people too.

In short, by bringing Reira’s smile back they will rid him of Zarc’s evil spirit, plain and simple.

Her lips pursed in an exaggerated pout, but her chest wasstill heaving from exhaustion, from the aftermath of hernerve-wracking, incredibly risky gamble.

Bloodmagic… the act of trading a person’s life for that of another… Ithad been fairly easy to trick the guard into stepping close enough tobecome her sacrifice, and now, his mutilated corpse was staining thefloor of her cell in the same spot the summoning circle Ruri haddrawn with her own blood had been. There was not a slimmer ofremorse, for Ruri had to escape her imprisonment at all costs.

Dearestbrother, did you survive the onslaught on our home? Are you lookingfor me this very moment,  exposing yourself to indescribable dangers?

Everything…it had been her fault, for she was the one who’d invited the devil totheir doorstep for letting an enemy spy charm her into placing histrust in him. The lives of those swallowed by the Flames ofJudgment… they were all on her.

(Now to RP even though I haven’t really opened the blog to RPing…Whoops.)

It honestly to a bit to reorient himself to where he was…who he was. The legendary magician and teacher of the magical arts, Sakaki Yusho, was pretty sure this wasn’t where he was the last time he was awake…

When had he fallen asleep anyway?

He blinks rapidly, taking in his surroundings.

Dirty stone walls. Rusty metal bars. Dancing shadows from faint, distant torch light. The smell of rot, mold, and freshly spilt blood. A little girl with luxurious hair and tattered clothes, panting with effort, face dressed with sweat and tiredness. The sensation of fading magic. A large, blood red spell circle. A twisted, mutilated corpse.

Magic was done here. Terrible magic.

Yusho’s first instinct is to scold the child in front of him. The magic he feels fading has long crossed over the lines of tolerable. This child will no doubt feel the cost of attempting it. Plus, life lost, no matter whose, is still life lost.

“Magic like this is forbidden, and for good reason.“

He would have said more had the child not responded. Had Ruri Kurosaki, one of his former and favored students, not spoken with such flippancy, despite the naked exhaustion on her face.

Dead? He was dead?

It hits the magician like the force of dragon’s fire at point blank.

He staggers (floats?) backwards, hand gripping his face, memories dancing across his mind: his family, his friends, his students, the building tensions between the Schools of Magic and the Holy Church, the siege, his fall.

He died.

Sakaki Yusho died.

He died, distracting the high priests in the hopes of giving his students time to escape. A hero’s, no, a matyr’s death.

But if he died, why was he…Oh gods.

His head shoots up, and the magician stares Ruri down, fingers clenched trembled.

”Ruri Kurosaki, what have you done?!“

If Ruri had said anything, he had completely missed it, overwhelmed by the fact that he had died, been dead for goodness knows how long, and now was revived…revived as what though?

The magician’s eyes widen slightly, and glances down at his body, touching his face and clothes.

Ah.

That’s what happened.

Yusho Sakaki was very fortunate to be bound to such a loyal monster…

Very fortunate.

“My son?”

Turns out, he did hear something.

I've been avoiding finishing because other stuff in life take precedence, but there is always other stuff...

1. Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V: Fruitshipping (Sakaki Yuya x Hiragi Yuzu)

My precious fruits. This paring stole my heart in Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V. It’s rare to have out right actions of affection with main heroes/heroines, so it’s such a joy to see these two interact. Platonic or Romantic, these guys are my favorite pairing in Yu-Gi-Oh. It also helps that these guys are childhood friends, having known each other for years, a dynamic that I’m such a sucker for. I’ve got so many little stories in my head that end up with these two together. I just can’t see them apart. (Which makes Arc-V all the more agonizing. Waaah. Just bring them back together, writers!! Why do you torture my fruits this way?!)

2. Digimon/Digimon Adventure/Zero Two/Tri : Taito (Taichi Yagami/Kamiya x Yamato Ishida)

I’ve never really shared this ship with anyone. It’s a very personal ship of mine. I’ve shipped this at least since middle school, before I even knew what shipping was. It was my first introduction to slash ships. I absolutely loved their dynamic. Opposing forces and opinions coming together and caring for each other with lots of fighting in between. Bright and cheery, plucky shounen hero plus cool, calm and brooding rival with complex issues.Taito and its dynamics would become the basis for pretty much all of my OTP slash ships. Honestly, just look at the following ships. You’ll see what I mean.

3. Kingdom Hearts Franchise: Soriku (Sora x Riku)

What did I tell you? Plucky shounen hero plus brooding, cool rival. I always enjoyed these two especially with how far each one will go for the other. Friends since childhood, these guys fight each other and risk everything for each other. I just love their dynamic. (My OT3 for this series ends up with Sorikai for all the same reasons.) There is even an entire game that just cements this ship in my mind. Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream, Drop, Distance. A.K.A. Soriku the video game. You will pry this ship from my cold, dead hands.

4. Rockman X/Mega Man X & Rockman Zero/Megaman Zero: XZero (Mega Man X x Zero)

Another old ship of mine, this ship also follows the hero X rival pattern, but honestly this is a ship of my that grew a lot from the fandom stories. Had I depended solely on the source material, I probably would have labelled these guys, Good Friends(TM). But, as I learned more about the games and read a considerable amount of fanfiction, I can’t help but ship these two. The literal living legacy of the doctors that started the Megaman franchise, the contrast in backstory and personality between these two characters is something I love. It doesn’t help that they will literally die for each other in canon. *stares at Zero*

(These guys to two gifs because I say so...and I may of had trouble deciding between them.)

5. Beyblade/V-Force/G-Revolution: TyKai (Tyson Granger x Kai Hiwatari)

Honestly, picking a fifth one for OTP’s is hard because the first four I posted are OTP’s I ship CONSIDERABLY. Like, Ride or Die. I’m going down with ship. Never throw my hands up and surrender.

For all my other OTP’s, I don’t ship them nearly as hard, and I tend to sway between them and canon boyxgirl ships.

So, I’m just going to pick an oldie, but goodie and go with TyKai. If you haven’t guessed that this would be another broody character X shounen hero,then clearly, you haven’t been paying attention. The conflict between thee two is so good. Honestly, what convinced the most about this ship would be the last episode of G-Rev. I mean, how could you NOT sense the gay. I like watching these two come to a better understanding with each other and helping each other grow.

(I’ll be honest though. Part of the reason why I really like this ship is that I really liked Kai as a character and really liked Kai ships. I’m pretty sure I had a crush on him. I might still have that crush...)

(On a side note: You guys get a vid for this one because no one giffed that final battle scene where they are in space staring at each other, and then, lying down next to each other. All of you must witness the GAY. So, you all get to watch the dub.)

1. Hostageshipping (Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V)

The OTP ruling over all other OTPs, and yup, I’m soooo shamelessly using the Hostage gif I commissioned from Tima lol

I could rant and gush about this ship all day, buuuuut for now, I’ll simply say to me, there’s no more perfect couple than their pre-butchering versions after an argument clearing up the worst misunderstandings hanging between them.

2. Sephiroth x Genesis (Final Fantasy VII)

The intense feels I used to have for these two just returned to punch me in the gut yesterday because siiiiiigh, two highly intelligent morally gray warriors in a dystopian military setting, who are best friends, rivals, and equals at the same time is muuuuch too good to be true O.O Sephiroth defying the orders of his superiors in spite of Genesis’ betrayal and Genesis’ childhood dream of sharing an apple from his hometown with Sephiroth will NEVER not kill me TT___TT And, like Hostage, these two can carry an interesting plot in almost any setting, making this ship perfect in my eyes.

3. Androidshipping (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s)

I neither ship Placido nor Dark Glass as a hateship, nor in that gross fluffy OOC way the other side of the Androidshipping likes to think of them. What I’m here for is the entire identity mess surrounding these two, and the potential of further interactions allowing them to develop into something greater than mere pawns on Z-One’s chessboard. And the Tag Force characterization of these two as individuals allows for so many parallels and contrasts and…. aaaaaah <3

4.  Prideshipping (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters)

Not much to say about this one lol Kaiba’s just much too gay for Other Yuugi to be true - and it’s perfect <3

Since I really hate Yuugi, I’d love to see them in a canon divergence AU in which Yuugi letting Kaiba win at Duelist Kingdom leads to the death of his grandpa (because being naive and stupid SHOULD have the proper consequences instead of being rewarded) - and to Yuugi shutting his self away entirely, meaning Other Yuugi completely replaces him and gets to interact with Kaiba plenty without having to adopt braindead Yuugi’s ideals that gradually turn him into a shitty character and nothing more than a glorified plot device only there to show off how aaaaaaaaaaawesome Yuugi is

5. Huntshipping (Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal)

Tbh, this was a bit difficult for me to pick, as Arc-V!Kaito and his negative impact on Shun’s writing has caused me to immediately cringe at the mention of his name alone, even though he used to be my Zexal fave, along with Astral. Siiiigh, I still have an incredibly soft spot for this ship, but for me to truly get back into it, I’ll need plenty of brain bleach to rid myself of the effects of the abomination that is Arc-V!Kaito >.<

Still, I will hold onto my fave canon divergence AU involving these two with my dying breath, namely the one in which Yuuma never appears in episode 24, and Kaito keeps the Emperor Key’s for himself, which then leads to Astral proposing an alliance, the two of them collecting the number cards together and growing close, and a tragic duel in which Kaito has to chose between Astral and Haruto. (Also, morally gray INTJ x INTP ships are aaalways gooooood O.O)
