i need crossword puzzles to stop giving me sports clues. dont ask me about football stars and nba championships and baseball team names. im the kind of nerd who chooses to do crossword puzzles why would you expect this of me. cruel and unusual.
the whole "insulting someone based on their appearance is bad because it could indirectly hurt people you like who share that feature" is a good start for unlearning body shaming but i do think we need to go further and remind people that even if there was some physical trait that was magically 10000% exclusive to conservatives and creeps and nobody else ever had it, we still shouldnt be insulting them based on that. because the problem with them is not their appearance its their ideology and actions. by insulting their appearance you arent just indirectly insulting others who look like that, youre literally not making the correct point. stay on topic ya know.
also to be clear bc some people have mentioned it, theres already aspects of peoples appearance that are 10000% exclusive to a specific ideology (a tattoo of a fascist symbol, for example) but i really dont think you can count that as insulting someone based on their appearance because the appearance isn't the problem. idc if the tattoo looks good or bad i care that this person is broadcasting their fascist views to the world. i hope the difference is obvious,

A lot of people make it so that Bruce owes everyone to reveal his identity, and he’s disgustingly selfish if he doesn’t
It could be the Batkids and Alfred telling Bruce that he’s been through so much with the Justice League and he now owes them such a sensitive piece of information, even if he still doesn't feel comfortable sharing it. His opinion doesn't matter, and they'll get mad at him if he refuses
Or the Justice League themselves pressuring Bruce to reveal his identity. If he doesn't, they'll ice him out until peer pressure and being isolated break him down, and he reveals his identity to them
I dunno, a lot of the time people don’t give Bruce a choice. He doesn't owe them anything, but no one understands or accepts that
It’s either they’re mad at him and don’t trust him for the rest of his life or something stupid, or he gives up his identity, which isn’t actually a choice now, is it? It's just not fair to him
Some of the unwilling identity reveal fics are so good, but if they're not in danger and it's not a necessity or an accident, then it's just not that fun for me to read. Like if Bruce's cowl gets blown up, or aliens take it when he gets captured, stuff like that. Not just one day in the Watchtower on a random peaceful day; they need to know his identity, or they'll stop trusting him after years of working together, even though he's never given them any reason not to trust him
Or his kids are so insistent that they're friends absolutely need to know who they are, and Bruce has to give out his identity first before they do anything

I definitely prefer it when Bruce makes the decision to reveal his identity simply because he wants to, rather than everyone in his life not so subtly pushing him to do so
