Savannah looked at Yotsuyu surprised. She had thought she’d want to avoid things that would remind her of her old life, but if she really wanted to help that much, she wouldn’t deny it. She smiled at the woman. “I’ll let the Scions know. It probably wouldn’t be best to spy on anything Garlean, but we might be able to use your help in other places.”
At Yostsuyu’s words about Zenos, Savannah felt herself going into Warrior of Light mode, the part of her that felt like she had to put on an act so as not to worry others. “Worry not, Yotsuyu. Should I face off with Zenos, or what is currently inhabiting Zenos, I will be well prepared.”
Savannah grinned when she said she wasn’t feeling that weak. She was thankful for the hard work of the healers. “I’m glad. I’ll talk to the others about moving up to transport if you’d prefer.”
Savannah paused, more hesitant. “There is one other matter we need to discuss.” She sighed. “It’s about Gosetsu. He’s… expressed wanting to go with you. Says you should have someone with you to guide you.” Savannah fidgeted with her hands. “I fear he still believe you to be Tsuyu, though I’ve tried to tell him he’s not exactly right. And while I have no problem as you are now, you have every right to choose who you want to be from this point on. Yotsuyu, Tsuyu, or something else. Mostly… I just don’t want some else’s expectations for you to eclipse your own wants and desires or to influence all your decisions.” She smiled. “However, I’m glad some of your decisions have been to help the Scions.”
Well, as far as I was concerned, being a spy didn’t necessarily involve having to sleep with about everyone AGAIN…that already saved me a lot of uncomfortable moments. It was true that my experience with getting information was too related to seduction, however, but if it ever ended up being useful for something, well, I would be open to use my charm for it.
“Nothing Garlean. But I assure you, getting information from the most simple-minded people is rather easy. I don’t need to say I don’t approach people like a shinobi and the like. I am more direct, if that even can be useful.” After knowing the stories about the Warrior of Light, however, I could honestly trust that Savannah would be able to become strong enough to face Zenos and win, so all I did was look down for a moment before trying to relax my shoulders a little.
“If it would be too rushed, I am fine waiting until tomorrow. To move, I mean. Nothing bad will happen to me if I spend another night here.” To a point. I knew I had my own night terrors to face once asleep, but it was nothing to trouble people with.
On the other hand, the moment that Gosetsu was mentioned, I actually could feel more worry building inside of me. Savannah was right, Tsuyu was gone…with all my memories recovered I simply couldn’t just ignore my whole life, the things I did, or the person I was.
Looking back at the Viera, I let out a deep sigh while my frown deepened slightly.
“I wouldn’t mind if he wanted to come, but I absolutely wouldn’t want to be babysitted…I need him to understand I am not Tsuyu. I am Yotsuyu, now…I can understand why he would’ve been so kind with me when I lost my memories, but even now?…I am the cruel monster that shot him so the giant ceiling of a castle could fall over all of us.” It didn’t help at all that his kindness has made me want to open my throat before…I just don’t deserve all of this treatment. “I still don’t even know why all of you are helping me…to start anew. Starting anew is not going to wash all the things I’ve done.”
“I’ll keep it in mind and relay it to the Scions. Thank you Yotsuyu.” Though she wasn’t sure she cared for calling them “simple-minded” she understood what Yotsuyu meant.
“I’ll look into chartering a ship for tomorrow then.” Savannah said with a smile.
Savannah listening intently to what Yotsuyu said. She was surprised to hear that Yotsuyu had shot him to have the castle crush them, but nodded. “I understand. I’ll talk with him. But just so you know... by agreeing to help, and working towards helping others, doesn’t make you the same monster as before. You’re not the same Yotsuyu.”
Savannah looked down sadly at her hands. “I understand what you mean, truly. Sins don’t wash away so easily. All we can do is move forward to do the next right thing and hope that we can make up for it one day.” She smiled at Yotsuyu. “And I do believe saving you was the right thing.”
