anyway. last night I had a dream that my local lesbian bar was hosting a “motionless dance party”. it was sort of like the inverse of a silent disco—the music is playing out loud but you’re doing all the dancing inside your own head. it was really successful like a lot of lesbians showed up to stand perfectly still in a room together and imagine what dancing would be like.

i hate how much ai has taken the joy out of seeing something cool. you used to see something cool, like a really intricate drawing or a video of someone doing an insane skill or two animals doing something cute, and because there were no mental gymnastics involved in discerning whether or not it was 'real' you could sit there and have the joy of like, "wow! how did they do that! how cool is it that they made that! what a wonderful moment to have captured!" and now every time i see something remarkable i hate that i have to sit there and be like okay let me go frame by frame to make sure everything lines up. let me double check the page this comes from. let me scroll through the comments to make sure no one called out something i missed. like i want the joy of being able to trust someone else's creation back, please

Honestly I am still in shock, this is such a huge honour - I remember playing this game as a kid and looking at all the awesome fan art Jagex would post on the homepage and wishing that could be me one day, and now 20 years later, my work is up there next to such incredibly talented peers, truly a dream come true!! 😭😭❤️

Finalist: Tinklemouse - Knitted Chambers of Xeric-themed Sweater

Earlier this year, I created a knitted sweater based on the Chambers of Xeric raid from OSRS. I charted the knitting pattern myself and then knit it up using intarsia and seaming techniques. In total, the piece took over 100 hours from design to finished piece!
