I know nothing about Star Fox, but I adore whatever it is they did to that cat character who used to look like the mascot of an icecream company and now looks like a sleep deprived war veteran who smokes a pack a day.

has anyone noticed recently that it's expensive
times like these really make you appreciate pouring river water in your socks
Limewire (2000 - 2010)
landen roupp is a bitch and i hope he got fined $10k for writing on that on his hat
anyway. shout out to gilbert for wearing his rainbow tie dye headband to match his pride hat. it's not a lot, but it means a lot considering how his teammates were acting last night.
#mycrumbs
What’s really critical is that vitello loves and encourages and delights in gilly being a #freak and that he’s ALSO the man that made him/ruined him for anyone else/demanded MORE from him than anyone ever did and it was satisfying and brutal and worth it (he believes). And they love to shove each other and hump things.
like come onnn they're so. so.
“By now, you all know I officially accepted a position to babysit Drew Gilbert,” Vitello told reporters
“I think he’s kind of like a Swiss Army Knife in terms of leadership,” Gilbert said. “He knows how to get the most out of each player. I think that’s his biggest strength. He is the best motivator I’ve ever been around. He knows how to get people to buy in. He does it in a way that’s a blend of an old-school, new-school sort of mentality. He just toes the line of player to coach so well. I’ve never seen anybody be able to do that. It’s super impressive. “It’s an energy that’s so organic. It’s nothing fake, nothing forced. It’s real. It’s intense. I think a lot of people have a misconception that it’s this rah-rah stuff. Don’t get it twisted, man. He has a high level of expectation for each player. There’s a standard that he set, at least at Tennessee, that was extremely high, and he would live up to that every single day, no matter what time of year it was. I think that’s a joy to be around every single day. It’s hard to even describe unless you were there.”
and when people got mad at vitello for #favoritism
The obvious frustration from fans stems from Vitello giving Gilbert an at-bat, a player he previously coached at Tennessee. That connection was always going to be something critics watched closely when he took the job.
connection....watched closely....something illicit happening BLA BLA BLA. you Know.
Vitello will inherit an entirely different set of challenges. He also happens to inherit Gilbert, the player he credits for instituting foundational change in a Volunteers baseball program that was transformed from Southeastern Conference doormat into a swaggering, national powerhouse.
INHERIT.
“What that tells you is the impact he’s had at Tennessee and why he was even wanted for a job like this,” Gilbert said. “You don’t have people showing up to a scrimmage and chanting your name if you haven’t done something special there. Tennessee fans are special. They’re the best. I was fortunate enough to play in front of them for three of the best years of my life. But I’m also really excited for Coach to be in front of Giants fans. We know they’re hungry to win, and we all feel we have something to prove next year. So I’m excited for him to get the opportunity and I get to do it along with him as well.”
#itneverleavesyou
“I think varying personalities is great for a clubhouse,” Vitello said. “I think to have somebody that's almost like the rabbit you're trying to catch or something to chase that's good for you.” Gilbert, in this case, is the rabbit.
???????!??!?!?!??!?! THE RABBIT HE'S TRYING TO CATCH??? tony what are you ON about.
There are two sides to Gilbert, Vitello said, and not everyone sees both. “When I say crazy, I just think he's comfortable in his own skin,” Vitello said. “So, he's not afraid to say what he's thinking. Then it's this extreme level of intensity on the field and then you switch it off and you get this kind-hearted kid.”
genuinely emotional about this #NGL
Vitello said Gilbert’s emotional transparency -- the intensity, the reactions, the way he carries himself -- creates a rare connection. "There’s other players too that there’s as much give, but you just don’t see it as much," Vitello added. "For him, you have that visual -- the way he plays, the emotion he plays with -- and it can really affect the locker room. I think that’s his strength. It’ll never leave."
and this. GODDDDDD

sharing the email I wrote to [email protected]. I know there's not a whole bunch of us fans on tumblr (esp compared to twitter), but I feel like it is important to try and articulate how shitty the pride night situation is. for anyone who wants to do the same, please feel free to use the email below as a template.
if folks think there's a better way to direct this msg to the team please share. i love being annoying :) and frankly i am pissed!!! off!!!! abt what this indicates abt the clubhouse culture, especially for our hispanic & black players. we should not be prioritizing these shitty bigoted pitchers (and anyone else on the team who refuses to do literally the bare minimum to make this environment safe for marginalized players).

To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express my immense disappointment that the San Francisco Giants management allowed such a disgusting and blatant display of homophobia during the Pride Night game on June 12th, 2026. I love this team deeply, and my family have been Giants fans for over fifty years, which is why it was so disheartening to see players actively choose not to participate in Pride Night, and in fact specifically include bible quotes on their uniforms that are actively hateful and antagonistic towards the LGBTQ+ community.
The fact that players only did so on Pride Night, and not year round, indicates that they were specifically choosing not to support a community that makes up a large part of the Giants fanbase and the city that hosts this team. I am especially disappointed that this was seemingly endorsed by management and the other players. I cannot imagine the hurt your queer staff members must feel, knowing team management at every level allowed players to very actively signal that this team is not safe for the LGBTQ+ community.
I hope that the Giants management will do the right thing and issue an apology, and require all players who actively refused to participate in Pride Night activities to learn why their actions are harmful. Wearing a rainbow hat may seem meaningless, but gestures like that influence the culture of the team--and refusing to lift up marginalized communities absolutely influences the culture of the team in a bad way.
I was excited to see this year how the team has embraced its Latinx players and fans with open arms. However, after the decisions made at Pride Night, I am concerned that at all levels the team is unsafe for marginalized staff and fans. I hope you hear the disappointment from those of us that love this team, and change for the better. I know I and many others feel we can no longer support this team personally and financially if the decisions made on Pride Night are not reconciled in some capacity.
Thank you for reading, and I hope it is understood that this message comes from someone with a deep, deep love for this team who wants better for us fans and all the wonderful people who make this team great.

This is the wildest thing in the book actually. What is it up to.
So no one is going to tell me that they made looking for alaska into a miniseries in 2019????????? I'm so watching this after Merlin. I haven't read John Green in years and this is going to be cringy and amazing
If you want to hide a terrible secret from the world, hire Hulu's marketing team, because they didn't tell a soul about looking for alaska.
