I'm a 25 year old hobby artist. In my Tumblr blog I will share my artwork and creative ideas similar to what I already do on DeviantArt. I may for example share ideas for movies and amusement parks. I draws both traditionally and digitally. I don't do commissions.
I’m SebbyChanArt, a 25 year old Norwegian hobby artist. I draw both traditionally and digitally. Sometimes I do mixed media. I vary my technique and drawing style. I use black pens, graphite pencils, colored pencils and acrylic paintings, for example. I do stippling, crosshatching and coloring. I’m only doing art as a hobby and use social media to share it with other people. I don’t do commissions.

My newest art project:
The twenty-faced girl's facial transformation.
My newest project is “The twenty-faced girl” that is a story about a boy developing an intense and obsessive crush on a girl in his class. Over time as his feelings grow stronger, it appears like she is changing faces and looks like twenty different people hence the title. Some of the faces are beautiful, some ordinary and some terrifying, depending on the boy’s mood. The story also follows the boy’s life when attending a boarding school for art. The story is a horror movie idea free for film adaptation and is based on a true story. It’s based on real events, people and experiences, but anonymized and dramatized for entertainment purposes. I don’t seek profit from the concept, but I would like to be credited if someone wants to make a movie. You can read more about the movie concept here:
Movie concept - storyline.
Movie concept - sketches.
The “Twenty-faced girl” is also an horror amusement park ride idea.
“The face changing crush” phenomenon.
The real-life experience looked less dramatic than the movie concept. Examples on what faces could look like.
“The face changing crush” phenomenon is a real psychological phenomenon. It occurs when intense infatuation with a crush alters facial perception. The crush may appear to change face, looking like multiple different people. This only happens with crushes, not with others.
Typically, one face is seen at a time, and its attractiveness can fluctuate with the observer's emotions. (E.g. seeing compatible vs incompatible personality traits in the crush, and how good potential match one thinks you are in the moment). The faces shift gradually and smoothly, with features changing in size, shape, and spacing. The prevalence worldwide and the cause is unknown, as it has not been studied. Doctors I spoke to have no experience with it but say it’s likely that neurodiversity in the brain may affect the way one may experience the world.
The phenomenon and my own experiences with it inspired me to work with my “The twenty-faced girl” concept. The main difference between the movie concept and the real-life experience is that in the concept I went for a horror movie aesthetic instead of realistic faces for entertainment purposes. In real life, faces could change from realistically attractive to average and unattractive. The experience was still frightening and felt surrealistic.

I drew Rikke Whelan De Lange, who is a Norwegian cancer blogger and known for "Rikke's Law". The reason I chose to draw her is because I think she is an inspiring, admirable and strong person. She was open about taboo topics. She was open about what it is like living with cancer, her experience with the Norwegian healthcare system, death and was reflecting on the meaning of life and what one wants to do in life. It is said that "people pass away, but not Rikke. Rikke died".
She had the courage to plan her own life, her own funeral and to share pictures from all phases of life in the newspapers. She shared photos from her youth, the period of illness and her last moments including photos from her own funeral. She reminded us that no one is immortal. She spent a lot of time with her friends and family, traveled, partied and had fun before she died, and showed the importance of using the time in life well. She celebrated her FUN-eral party with colorful costumes, glitter, dancing and drinking. She faced life's challenges with humor and laughter, and was in good spirits despite them. She dared to ask important questions such as the right to self-determination over one's own life and one's own death. Even though I am unsure of what I think about several of the big questions in life, I think Rikke is a strong personality worth celebrating and that she made a great effort.
Sensory overload and high sensitivity are common symptoms in autism (ASD). Some people may be more sensitive for smells, sounds, light, taste or touch compared to the average neurotypical/none-autistic person.
In my case it's strong smell. It may give me headache, nausea, body aches, fatigue and teary eyes.
"Anne Boleyns death", pen on paper - crosshatching (2025).
Anne Boleyn was Henry VIII of England's 2nd wife and she was executed with a sword by a French executioner. Anyone familiar with the song "Divorced, beheaded and die, divorced, beheaded and survive" knows the story.
another piece about chronic illness!! this one is basically about feeling controlled and/or limited by your conditions, and the impact of disability on quality of life.
I made a fictional story about Heaven, Purgatory and Hell, and I made a drawing of Hell. Hell is a miserable place where the worst of the worst goes like violent or genocidal dictators, serial killers, serial rapists, torturists and terrorists. They may spend anywhere between 1-100 years there before being allowed in the Purgatory. They then must spend up to 10 years in the Purgatory before being allowed in Heaven. Hell is a dark and silent place without any positive feelings. The souls are locked in a big "black" room filled with depression, sadness, despair, boredom and existential crisis. It is said it's so dark that they can't see the darkness itself and so black that they can't see the blackness. The souls can't see each other or hear each other's voices. The souls are also incapable of visualizing. Hell is a punishment for doing evilness.
I wrote a post about my fictional version of Heaven, Hell and The Purgatory. You can read it here:
Many people have a mind's eye. It means when they're thinking, they may see images in their heads. If someone think about an apple, they may see an apple inside their head. Some people are able to see it in clearly in colors, details, depth, shadowing etc. To some it's similar to seeing a picture or a movie. People with hyperphantasia have the most vivid images on the spectrum and people with hypophantasia sees simpler images. Aphantasia is the opposite on the spectrum and is the inability to see images in your head when you're awake.
The illustration shows my mind's eye. I wanted to show people what thinking in images look like and what it means.
"The twenty-faced girl's facial transformation", digital (2025)
When an imaginative art student, Jonas, start developing a huge crush on the girl in his class and his obsession grows, it appears like her face change based on his emotional state and perception. Her face can change back and forth between beautiful and ordinary faces to horrifying ones. He "sees" in total twenty different faces explaining the title "The twenty-faced girl".
(You can read more about the concept here: https://www.deviantart.com/sebbychanart/art/The-Twenty-Faced-Girl-A-Frightening-Love-Story-1223079136)
About the drawing:
The illustration above shows the girl's face changing similarly to a werewolf transformation. For Jonas, it looks like her features gradually shift in shape and size. As she transforms from beautiful to terrifying, her nose and forehead seem to grow, her skin turns pale, and her eyes glow ice-blue. Her teeth appear crooked and yellow, blotches cover her skin, dark rings form around her eyes, and her eyebrows thicken into a near unibrow. Jonas witnesses these changes happening smoothly and in real-time not understanding why.
