I don't support Eva bashing that's emotional support environmental terrorist right there. What I'm interested in is the bad pr she is giving earth because the eridian ambassador is too invested in his flesh teddy bears life
Bloodymary is hilarious because I can't stop imagining Simon spawning suddenly wherever Grace is, getting saved and sweetly nurtured back to health by him, getting cared for by him, getting cuddles and all that, falling hopelessly in love with this absolute sweetheart of a guy and then Ryland Aroace Grace is just. Not That Into Him. Like man you misunderstood I simply care deeply about each and every living thing and if I can help I will but by God I Do Not Like You Like That.
Also like romantic relationships are not in any way inherently more meaningful than any others right. And let's imagine Simon Hopeless Devotion Butcher understands that.
STILL A MISS MY GUY Rocky is Grace's #1 meaningful relationship codependent friend with maybe Adrian following closely behind. And like yea obviously they all might care for Simon a lot and understand this guy is like the only other human on Erid besides Grace and they try to include him and all that but you can't tell me there's not this air of awkwardness whenever he's around. They have things they all went through together way before he showed up. They have Inside Jokes. Simon is like Just There. This is a "You become responsible, forever, for what you've tamed" type of situation and it's bittersweet and depressing and awkward and rrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrr rrrrrrr
Grace convincing Simon to go to Earth. Simon would love it there. Like sure, it would be hell, he'd have to adjust and all but like. All the beauty he has longed all his life to see is there. All the life and prosperity despite the world being in shambles. All there. And he has to let go of being saved by an angel. Because Ryland Grace is not an angel. And both of them deserve a happy ending. But maybe it's not beside each other... Because Grace is just fine exactly where he is. And Simon has a loneliness deep inside him that he thinks can only be fixed by Grace but maybe he's wrong. And even if he's not, maybe he can be happy like that
He is sent to earth in a coma per his own request â he'd rather take this risk of dying than endure the trip alone. Besides everything else, a note is sent with him.
Do you think Eridians have some sort of 'rock skipping' sport, where the ones with flatter carapace shoot themselves across a lake and and the ones that go the farthest/have the best form win? Kind of like human diving competitions, but horizontal??
Au where Simon becomes an eridiantuber when he gets rescued by Grace and now Grace has to deal with âwas that the bite ofđ¶â references from his students constantly

Chapters: 1 ~
âMovement detected. Whatâs two plus two?â
Eyes twitch but donât open, then thereâs no movement for a while.
Until-
âWhatâs two plus two?â
A brow curled slightly down in annoyance. Did this thing think he was stupid? Ooor she? The voice sounded feminine but not⊠real? Like a robot? Regardless, he refused to engage.
âWhatâs two plus two?â
âShdrfkp,â an attempt at âshut the fuck upâ since this was already getting real old, real fast.
âIncorrect. Whatâs two plus two?â and this time, paired with the feminine voice, came beeping. And it wasnât gentle beeping either, it was blaring and very alarming. Like it was trying to warn everyone that the place was going to explode or something!
Or-
âFlames? Why would there be flames?â
âI donât know. Thatâs why I warned you.â
Iron covered the dank and dark walls, but his eyes focused on the fire extinguisher nearby in case he needed it. But⊠why would he need it?
âYou did test this thing, right?â
âThis is the test.â The womanâs voice was firm, unwavering.
His face twisted in horror at just how expendable he was to them, staring up at the speaker in absolute disbelief.
âBut youâre welded in as tight as we could make it, and that shipâs a tank. Just keep an eye on your depth while youâre down there. The terrain can be unpredictable, so make sure youâre not wandering down too far into the red.â
The red?
His eyes focused out of the eye of the ship, seeing nothing but red covering the entire window, stomach churning just watching it.
âIt can take pressure, but thereâs a limitâŠâ
Limit?
The red was covering him, surrounding his entire body. No, not redâŠ
Blood.
An ocean of it.
It was filling up around the walls, he could barely see or feel anything else but the blood as it drowned him and the room until-
âRrrgh- herhgh..â There were no words then, just sounds of fear like he was about to choke. His eyes were wider open now, but foggy, faint in the bright light and glistened with tears. He could barely make out anything around it, just shapes and colors mostly even if he tried to squint.
âIncorrect,â she spoke through the alarms, despite his fear and confusion. âWhatâs two plus two?â
What⊠what the fuck was going on?!
Wasnât he dead?!
His breathing picked up, and more noises that carried different tones surrounded him, body now trying to wiggle but finding it so hard to move his arms and legs. Why was it so hard to move, was he even moving at all? He couldnât tell, he couldnât even see!Â
Was this even real?!
Suddenly, he could hear various stomping coming from a distance, but it was becoming alarmingly closer and closer. Along withâŠ. A voice?
It wasnât clear, he couldnât really make out what was being said until it felt like they were suddenly in the room with him. Despite his fear, however, his adrenaline was catching up to him, consciousness growing weaker.
â.....eyâŠ.HeyâŠâ a manâs voice still seemed to ring through his ears, getting closer and closer to him, until he was practically on top of him.
Fuck, he had to focus. He had to keep his eyes open; he had to know what the fuck was happening. He wouldnât go down so easily; he wouldnât let them. Not without a fighting chance!
â-Hey!â Ocean blue eyes centered on his own, somehow clearing every thought he had in his head. The light was still blaring as he tried to look up, but everything else was glossy and kaleidoscopic around the blonde manâs chiseled and stubbly face. âYouâre safe.â
âŠ..Safe? âŠ..Really?
It was too good to be true, he was deadâŠ. But the manâs voice was so soft and so sureâŠ. So certain.
Was he an..
â.......An..âŠgelâŠ?â
âIncorrect, whatâs four plus four?â
But before he could answer, he was already out like a light.
âNo! Nononono, shitake mushrooms! Uggh!â The blonde man covered his face in frustration, nearly pushing his already skewed glasses off the frame of his face. âMary, I think you overwhelmed it with the questions, and Armando⊠maybe we push back on the sedatives when heâs coming back into consciousness?â he spoke in a huff of slight frustration, staring down at the floor of the med-bay. âAnd no one thought to get the Doctor?!?â
âȘ[But Grace not human medicine doctor.]âȘ
âOkay, I know Iâm not a human medicine doctor, Rocky. Iâm just saying..â he sighed, cutting off his own thought as he sat back in the chair now. His head shook gently before just landing facing the earthy spider-like rock next to him who adorned his xenonite suit. âBesides, I needed to see what was happening- if anything was happening to him! He could have been dying, even with Armandoâs help!â The unfortunate thought crossed that itâs happened before, but he couldnât voice that out loud.
â«[Was Grace worried I could not help?]â«ËËËË
âNo no!â He spoke quickly after, sitting back up straight with his feet landing on the floor, looking past the man on the table to see a larger almost boulder-like figure on the other side, her sea-foam colored body almost taking up a majority of the space even paired with the suit, but the med bay was crafted with her visits in mind. âAdrian, you didnât⊠I wasnât trying to say you werenât gonna help if something happened⊠I know you were here to watch himâŠâ he sighed, guilt riddling in his chest now as he breathed out.Â
Silence filled the room for a moment.Â
Well, silence and the alarms still going off around them.Â
â«[Maybe the alarms are too much?]â«ËËËË Adrian stomped her legs down on the ground twice after she spoke, but her arm moved across the room, flipping a switch to turn the alarm off.
âYeahâŠ. Yeah, I think the alarms probably were too much⊠Maybe we keep them off.. â more guilt scrunched onto his face then, eyes falling back down on the creature hooked up on the table. No, creature felt wrong, inhumane. This was a man in their care, but different.Â
âSharp teeth jagging out the side of his face and extending out from the left side of the jaw, but we found it scattered across his body and spine⊠scales lining around the left side of his neck, with scarring and distortion across his face..â his thoughts spoke out loud, hands moving to gently probe at each part as he spoke about it and fixed his glasses. âLeft sclera is discolored, left iris is discolored..â he pushed open his eyelid to view it, which quickly made the aliens in the room fill it with noises of disgust. âAnd left arm seems to recently beâŠâ he hesitated to touch the arm in question as he stared down at it.
ââŠ.Dismembered..yet healing quickly..â he spoke quieter. Despite speaking it all out loud, he still was only left with more questions, eyes landing back on the dark-haired manâs face. He looked so scared, frightened for his life. It was an all too familiar feeling to him too.
ââŠ. What happened to you, man?â
âȘGrace dumb, new human canât answer.âȘ It was almost odd the mannerisms that Rocky had picked up from him over the years since they saved their planets, his body seeming to shake in disapproval at the other. It almost made Grace wonder if this was shared only between them or how odd he must have looked to the other Eridians.
â«[And youâre sure this is not how humans normally appear?]â«ËËËË Adrian asked, closely observing the medical bed along with the human, tapping her tendril gently so as not to disturb his sleep.
âIâm veeeery certain. Bloody humans with scales and teeth on their bodies donât just become beached on the shore out of the blue.â
â«[Iâm only asking for research.]â«
Grace knew that he was probably acting nonsensically and a little unreasonable to them, after all, Adrian had been enlisted as the top Human Curator since one arrived on this planet (with Rocky as the Lead Technician, of course). And now suddenly, a second one washed up from the ocean, covered in blood. With a completely wrecked and gory submarine appearing on another beach outside of the BioDome. She was reasonably just as curious and concerned, but none of it was making sense.
â«[We will find answers.]â«
Grace looked up at Adrian, not realizing that his face had been scrunched up intensely in thought again until her deeper tones hummed gently. It had been some time now, and the pair of Eridians could read him a little too well, but it was endearing all the same.Â
âWe willâŠâ He agreed with a nod that showed certainty, a genuine smile as he looked toward the two in gratitude. Still, his eyes lingered back over to the bed, guilt welling up in his chest. â..Weâll let him rest for now, Iâll sleep here in the chair-â
â«[No no, Grace should get rest at his home. I will watch until he wakes.]â«
âBut-â
â«[No. You have gotten little sleep watching him even while Iâve watched with you. Go home.]â« Adrian stated, her tone clear that she wouldnât back down from this.
âȘ[Party! Boysâ night! Boysâ night!]âȘ Rocky cheered and waved his hands in the air behind the table in excitement, despite not fully understanding the concept of what boys' night was.Â
Grace had paused, not wanting to stray from the human waking up again, but yet again Adrian could read him so well. The adrenaline from the alarm, running down to see what was happening, and the long day teaching Pebbles had him totally beat too. Plus the long nights viewing his monitors and heart rate, taking samples of what he could, and just simply waiting for the other to finally awaken.
He needed the rest.
â....Alright⊠but Iâll be back as soon as I wake uuuup!â His tone went up playfully towards the end of his sentence as he grabbed his belongings and started to make his way towards the exit, with Rocky in tow.
âȘ[BOYSâ NIGHT BOYSâ NIGHT BOYSâ NIGHT!!]âȘ Rocky continued his celebration down the hall as he followed Grace out of the preserved Hail Mary, fast by his side but slowing down with one final thought. âȘGrace. Have question.âȘ
âYeah, buddy?â he asked him, keeping his pace so that he didnât dare think of turning back around.
