Some time ago, I found out that some of my graphics (Draco and Ginny graphics from Harry Potter fandom) were stolen and reposted WITHOUT any kind of credit or reference given to the source (my blog in this particular case, up you can see some examples of it -on the right screens of my original posts) and this doesn’t happen just to my works but to many other graphics posted by other people. This is wrong, unrespectful and really, really sad.

One of the things I loved about Tumblr was the fact that reblogging a post preserved the copyright of it; sharing is the spirit of this platform, not stealing, but some unrespectful people clearly don’t give a damn about this way of life and repost with no regrets, stealing potential likes and reblogs.

And Tumblr Support knows it well: I want you to notice that the “reblog, don’t repost” rule is in Tumblr’s term of service and if you ignore this you risk to be reported to Tumblr support center. (here’s the link to Tumblr’s term of service, and I quote textually from it: “ Make sure you always give proper attribution and include full links back to original sources. When you find something awesome on Tumblr, reblog it instead of reposting it. It's less work and more fun, anyway. When reblogging something, DO NOT inject a link back to your blog just to steal attention from the original post.”)

I personally won’t tolerate this situation anymore so I’m lauching this campaign to stand up for our rights and prevent the reposting of our creative works. If you agree with me, please, reblog this post.
