i'm so nippypilled
A slimmer of sunlight before the real storm broke out
Sorry guys, it’s that time of the year again, I get very invested in blue shift characters that never get mentioned again in future installments, more thoughts in the tags
Sucking her toes for every day of pride month
it just feels illegal how much time I spent drawing this silly pic
Love fem!Kim with alt haircut
Sometimes I fantasize about a man shooting me because he sees me as his equal and therefore a credible threat. So Benny Gecko is perfect for me actually
happy pride month
You're all sleeping on Laertes, by the way
Just like Hamlet has to step into his father's shoes in a way, Laertes has to step into his absent mother's shoes to advise his sister on matters of the heart. Then this protective brother/mother role, which blends the feminine with overwhelming masculine patriarchal duties, causes him to feel he has failed to protect his sister from abuse and suicide. He's nominally avenging his father when he fights Hamlet, but he's also punishing himself for failing Ophelia. The survivor's guilt must be immense.
Also it's crazy how he gets to leave while Hamlet and Ophelia are essentially trapped in their childhood home indefinitely...
It lives in the arcade and leaves sticky little footprints on the linoleum. Naming it Gumble
he’s riiiight behind me, isn’t he?
helloo! ^O^
better luck next time

thankyou to my everyone who has ever relogged my ragad posts
Rosencrantz is a woman and Guildenstern is nonbinary
I love how Rosencrantz and Guildenstern could easily be replaced with any duo from any media and Elsinor with any other place. The universality of "I want to go home" and "we'll know better next time", the yin and the yang, Type A and Type B, grouchy x sunshine, trying to find your way out of an Ikea, wanting desperately to leave a party you weren't really invited to, how many more galleries is this museum, you're already thinking of someone, you already know a place, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, and subjecting them to any other AU is starting the time loop again, and once more, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.

I don't know if anyone will see this or care but Ariel from The Tempest is driving me insane. Caliban is of course a fascinating subject to study when it comes to the colonialist themes of the play, but Ariel man... he's similarly indigenous coded, but he's like the opposite of Caliban, the positive archetype to the negative archetype. He's also constantly operating on this otherworldly fairy level where he doesn't seem to have any emotional investment in his surroundings, but you can read so much subdued desperation into the way he begs for his freedom. He almost seems like a character who's been convinced that he's not human and is "above it all" so much that he doesn't perceive his emotions as emotions anymore. At the end he tells Prospero he would feel bad for the noblemen that Prospero ordered him to torment if he were human. Which is what causes Prospero to question his own actions. Empathy prompted by the person who supposedly lacks it. You could almost play it as a coping mechanism. And don't even get me started on how androgynous he is because he's literally made of air and he dresses as a different female mythological figure in like every scene
