My first Gelfling OC! This is Elidi, the eldest daughter of Maudra Naia and Amri. She’s feisty, adventurous, and loyal. Having grown up during the Garthim Wars, she’s cautious. She’s learned to move on silent feet just like her father. Like her mother, she can take a while to warm up to other people, but once she does, she’ll never stop smiling.

This lovely gelf right here is another drenchgrot offspring!! Funny thing is that her name is Tavra, the reason why she has that name is that both Naia and Amri have had huge help from Tavra and it honestly wouldn't be surprising if they named a child after her.

I avoided making picrews fro a while bc they usually don’t work but I finally cracked! Here’s my OC Zela! She’s a selectively mute Sifan. She is literally unable to speak in most settings and panics whenever she’s expected to, but she is otherwise gracious and as kind as any Gelfling could be!

The green in her hair comes from her Stonewood side; her father is Sifan and her mother is Stonewood

This video has become decidedly therapeutic for me, on a daily basis. You love to sit by the campfire with Kylan and to cuddle him

When you go for a nightwalk and Kylan gets scared, you'd protect him. You'd pat his head and hug him

You'd adore his cooking skills. When you'd be sick, Kylan would cook broth for you to make you feel better

For you, Kylan looks absolutely beautiful with loose hair. Sometimes you'd just look at him and adore how handsome he is

But you also love to braid Kylans hair and make him some cute, many different hair styles

When the two of you sit outside, Kylan would start to sing and you'd close your eyes and just listen to his beautiful voice

Kylan would be inspired by you to write many new songs

Modern high school/College AU has been in my head lately. So here are some human gelfs. Might post some HC later.

Modern highschool AU Head canons

(I don't know if these count as head canons but I don't know what else to call them.)

I imagine the clans being like school cliques or sororities.

Vapra:

- Popular kids (the most popular being Season, Tavra, and Brea)

- Don't Sit At Their Table In The Cafeteria!! If they invite you over you might as well be feasting with the Royal family

- Never bothered, never harassed

- A few athletes/cheerleaders here or there

- The drama club

- Most likely to be class president or something

- Some might be teachers pets

Stonewood

- The Athletes

- The Cheerleaders

- Varsity Jocks

- They're just a step below the Vapra in the social ladder

- Some art students as well

- they started a rumor that the old Hall Monitor killed a kid for running in the halls

Sifa

- The "Artsy" Kids

- Some of em might be drug dealers

- Like, you'd go in the bathroom and see two or three of them smoking pot

- They're trading weed brownies and cigarettes at the back of the school

- I read in "Songs of the seven gelfling clans" that they aren't as tight knit of a group as the rest of the clans so I imagine that they kinda do their own thing, with a couple of them making small friend groups of two or three.

- Tie dye is their "thing"

- they take in all the rejects and unpopular kids

Spriton

- They are the band kids

- the art majors

- despite playing for the same school, they will start fights with the stonewood about who plays better

- they grew the school garden

Drenchen

- The swimming team (obviously)

- they will roast you and they won't even care if it's a roast

- they're the start of 60% of the Hall fights

Dousan

- We got the emo kids

- they don't eat in the cafeteria with the rest of the students

- they don't actually have tattoos but they will be at the back of the classroom drawing them on their skin with a sharpie

- the quiet type

- the other students don't really pay attention to, or talk to, them (and some are afraid to)

- they smell like pot 24/7

- I feel like they'd wear pentagram necklaces and crystal necklaces you see on Amazon

Grotton

-The science nerds

- Chemistry geeks

- they are at the very bottom of the social ladder

- unlike the dousan where if they enter a room you know it, the grotton can leave and enter a room and no one would even notice

- and if someone does notice them (somehow) they get mistaken for a new kid

SkekSo: principal (duh)

SkekSil: vice principal

SkekVar: the gym teacher

SkekEkt: the art teacher

SkekAyuk: the cafeteria cook

SkekTek: the unappreciated science teacher

SkekZok: the events planner (plans school dances, bake sales etc.)

SkekLach: health teacher

SkekOk: english teacher

SkekGra: the old drama teacher that was fired for being too weird and moved in with his buddy Urgoh

SkekSa: That cool geology teacher that let the students do what they wanted

SkekMal: The Hall Monitor, he was fired for being too violent with the kids. They couldn't handle the lawsuits

And finally I imagine the Maurdas being like a students council type thing. That or the school would be really big and they played as mini principals that looked after their assigned segment of the school.

The dark crystal - dating Kylan head canons (part 1)

Meeting him

When you're not a Spriton, you'd see him in Sami Thicket for the first time as you'd go there for a visit

Kylan would sit by a campfire, telling a song to the members of the village and you'd watch and listen to him from the distance.

The next day, as you see him again you'd talk to him and tell him that you really liked his singing

You'd talk to each other more and more, but at one point you'd have to leave Sami Thicket

As you're away and travel Thra, you notice that you miss him and decide to visit Sami Thicket again

Kylan would have remembered you and is happy to see you again

He would greet you with a hug, what causes your heart to jump a bit

He would have told maudra Mera about you and she invites you to stay in Sami Thicket for a while

Being in Sami Thicket, you'd spend more and more time with Kylan. You'd talk to each about yourselves, your interests, your cultures.

Kylan would cook you his broth

You'd spend more and more time together and at one point one of you asks the other for a date
