one of the chocolate guys videos appears on your dash. you pause your scrolling to watch it, trying to guess what he’s making because this doesn’t seem to be one you’ve seen before. as the video goes on you get more unnerved and impressed — he seems to be making a whole human being this time, and it’s uncannily realistic. it’s even filled with candied fruit and sweet pastries in place of organs, red velvet cake and a cherry reduction making up flesh and blood beneath the chocolate. but something feels off. the person he’s making seems strangely familiar. upon the final reveal, you know why. amaury guichon has created a perfect replica of you

having said that, and also acknowledging that unplanned pregnancies from casual sex are a real and common occurrence and it is very refreshing to see a never-married working mother portrayed without stigma, celia's exact word choice when talking about jack seems very deliberate. she doesn't know who his father is, she had "a couple of wild years," and she came out the other side of it with a child. none of those statements actually confirm that she was the birthing parent, and if jack is about a year old then he would have been born at the same time as the TTS voices started reading out cases at the OIAR. spooky baby question mark? celia is the adoptive mother to the antichrist?

Sam broke up with Alice.

He broke up with Alice because she didn't know how to take some things seriously. She didn't know when to turn off the jokes. She made one too many jokes about something that wasn't funny and Sam got sick of it.

Do you ever wonder if Alice sat alone in her flat, wishing she was a different person so that she could be what Sam wanted?

And now he needs a job and she wants him back in her life. As a coworker, as a friend, anything. She'll take anything. She misses him.

She's learned her lesson this time. And now every time Sam tells Alice to "turn it off" she does so without any hesitation. She shuts right the hell up. She doesn't do that with any other person in the office. But for Sam, she'll try and be what he wants her to be.

And he goes and gets a crush on his coworker. Not Alice, though. Never Alice. No, he gets a crush on the beautiful, emotionally available girl that he has no past with and all the promises of a future. And she has to watch him bounce around her in a twitter pated mess, trying and failing to flirt and she remember what it was like when he was flirting with her. She remember that sweet, earnest care he gave her and how he too once offered her his good teas.

Maybe it wasn't enough just to be coworkers, to be friends. But it's too late now.

And now he comes back from his date, drunk and happy and looking like he's just a few more dates from getting lucky. She probably doesn't make awkward jokes because she doesn't know how to be real and authentic. Celia's probably perfect for Sam, the way Alice never was.

And now all Alice has left are the jokes, so she makes them and she hopes they hide everything.

They don't. Of course they don't.

And now she's standing there. The ex girlfriend who's not over her old flame and everyone in the office knows it. She's standing there alone and Sam has robbed her of all the jokes.

Been a bit since my last proper post, and returning with another au.

Now showcasing : one of the first aus that started the spiral that would eventually be the 61 seri

A simple swap au [art by @savbugsnax] of a now happily ended group rp campaign.

This seris does not have a doctorate, money, or a social safety net. This man crawled onto the expedition boat and scampered off into the woods when found. While eventually becoming social enough to join town, he remains both reclusive and 'odd'.

He has a pet snaquiri who is named tipsy topsy, bound around his hip by a segment of camping rope.

This au is actually connected to a secondary au and one of my first horror aus for bugsnax. 'RATKING'.

Swap seris here goes too far during a late night binge on the beach, and finds himself falling apart while wrapped around by numerous ropes (all holding different snax), the struggle of the myriad treats trying to separate and pull apart leaves a snaksquatch like amalgam wandering the shore, covered in blue mold like furr and buzzing in a hive of multiple agonized broken shapes. Cracked glass, candy shards, ripped umbrella paper, and a half-voice rising from the harmony in the panicked chaos. 'Snnnaqiri-s' this rat King has never been properly depicted, but I think some of my more in depth writings do him justice.

you have no idea what a timesave it is. you have a role in a story you need and you just Have A Guy already.

it's like a gift i want to bestow on anyone who needs it. i want everyone to have A Guy Who Keeps Coming Back for them. It's so reassuring.

i have no idea who may be inspired by me, but do check out @serpocalypse she's a friend with a little guy ive got to watch grow from "bugsnax oc" to "dude who has been in 20+ stories as different roles and i'm insane over"
