Sheep!
The dark greenish will fire brownish black, the yellow ochre will turn clay red (so. Orange. Orangey brown) and the gray will be a creamy white.
I love how they look when there's A Lot of them.
Once fired.
The full saga of Margie and the Nuns (so far). Realised I never compiled these in one place.! Also, bonus Margies!
A sheep on my friends' farm, a study of the Fox's Path down from Cadair Idris in Dolgellau, Wales.
Caran d'Ache neocolor II on bristol paper.
can’t wait to be awful at yet another resident evil game
Cherry barb, gouache on paper.
Forgot to post some more animal illustration studies!

A kingfisher made from a circular saw blade, paint pen, and spray paint. I sketched it, @echomary cut it out and added the copper eye, and I painted it. This was a gift, but we'd love to make more birds like this! What birds would you want to see?
love this genre of post

I couldn’t find that one tweet where someone says smthing like “I was jamming to the best industrial music I have ever heard and then realized my headphones weren’t connected and I was listening to my AC unit”
♡ Needleweaving ♡ prácticas de tramas bordadas
The quilting survived the washing machine! And the colors didn’t run! I sure am glad I put the color catchers in though bc they came out almost solid red 😰
“grandma” crafts ranked by how afraid of them i am, from least to most
knitting – i watched a woman painstakingly knit her own wedding dress on instagram. the only reason i am not viscerally terrified of knitting is that i can knit and have therefore accepted the horror into my heart, 4/10 for effort
crochet – THERE IS ONLY ONE HOOK. HOW. HOW DO YOU DO THAT. but again, i can single chain enough to seam my knitting, so we’re relatively cool 6/10
embroidery – it’s so little and so detailed???? literally you do that with a tiny needle and it looks like it could walk off the fabric. you’re a witch i don’t make the rules. i mean, we’re all witches, but you especially 9/10
spinning/weaving – literally you are making something out of primordial fluff. this by definition makes you a god, i’m pretty sure. y’all are incredible and i am in awe 10/10
tatting or handmaking lace by other methods that aren’t knitting or crocheting – part of me is also always going to be convinced you’re a spider god but in a cool way. definitely the most intricate products, and the fact that i can’t parse how they come into being is why i fear and respect you. 11/10 you incredible terrors
cross stitching – THIS IS FORBIDDEN MAGIC. WHAT ARE YOU. ALL THE LITTLE SQUARES???? 1000/10
Was with the OP until the last point. Cross stitch kits are paint by numbers with thread, and IMO is one of the most accessible embroidery techniques out there.
Spinning gets my vote as most intimidating, partly because it's the only skill I've ever straight up given up on. I couldn't get my head and hands around the drop spindle but would love to try again now I've given it a decade! Tablet weaving also looks like magic.
Tablet weaving is actually witchcraft and I will not be convinced otherwise.
Tablet weaving is fun as hell you just gotta survive The Threading Gauntlet but if you can read a diagram and count stitches you can do it!!
for my special witch
bad news the very expensive lace-weight single that i bought is actually the softest thing i have ever touched and a joy to work with.
Discovering The Good Yarn is a curse. I'm sorry op.
No no but this is the thing.
It's not just that the finish product feels nicer. It's that the entire experience of using it is SO MUCH BETTER. It works up so nicely, splits and tangles less. And is just overall a far superior experience.
And it's so bloody expensive /cry
If you aren't careful you can fall down the spinning rabbit hole, too.
Knowledge is indeed a curse.
I refuse to acknowledge spinning because I do not have room or money. And gods know I can't keep a sheep in a townhouse.
Honestly I find buying fiber cheaper than buying the nice hand dyed yarns (if you ignore the many many hours it takes to do the actual spinning bit) but fluff does take up a lot more space than finished yarn this is true...
Well shit...
*starts googling drop spindles*
The electric eel wheel e-spinner fits very nicely on my computer desk so I can spin & watch shows, for what it’s worth! Very space economical.
And I agree, buying the fiber is a bit cheaper!
There are travel wheels that fold up to be smol, and are sometimes found on ebay / facebook market place etc for cheap...
