Decided to do this trend @orchardsys started. This is not by far all of us, but describes about everybody's relationship to the body.

We have always identified with our body so nobody is exactly uncomfortable in it and everyone who does not know who they are usually represents themselves as or uses the body in these comics. Of course we have the odd bout of dysphoria once in a while and the body does feel more like a vessel to some, especially the non-human alters and introjects. We have also wished for shapeshifting powers, but with the caveat that we can return the body back exactly to what it was before shifting which shows how important it is to us. Every one of us would fight you if you threatened to take the body away from us.

For the longest time we thought we have high empathy because our vague notion of it was the only thing that we knew of that acknowledged how feeling empathy can be a negative experience.

You guys get it! The overwhelm of having to deal with other people's emotions.

Vessel infused - an alter that is separate but does not have a clear identity outside of the system/separated from the body.

Sometimes it's not the alter whose upset about not getting to do their thing, but someone else. The alter might be like: it's fine. we agreed I only do this for this long. i can do it later. And someone else is: but you should be able to do it more. i shouldn't stop you from doing this. It's sweet really. Shows us that we care about each other.

One of our introjects was lucky to form recently. We could dress up as her (loosely) while attending pride events. It was fun and nice and euphoric even.
