Fun part of naturally killing/draining batteries faster than they should on top of being sick... My health tracker ring which normally has 6 days of battery needs recharging again 2 days later. XD

Perk of having your VP now work out of your building.... Maintenance and other admin/VPs can't brush off our concerns about ceiling tileS MOLDing in the library, water damage, multiple leaks from the storms all week, AC froze and lines were pulled out so there's water in the carpet on both floors, dust filled AC vents...

All us librarians have respiratory issues and our allergies have just gotten worse despite low pollen counts outside. I have a sinus infection that hit this morning.

I don't know shit about purebred cats, dear reader, and frankly think the concept is kind of silly, but I was attempting to describe one to my coworkers yesterday, and the best I could do was "Alan Rickman looking cats," which for some reason only elicited blank stares. Nor did an image search for "Alan Rickman cat" bring up anything useful.

Of course tumblr users, being people of taste, will know exactly what I'm talking about.

Maybe 12+ months ago I spent some time writing on how if you want to lead a magical life I think a lot of this stuff has to be framed as chores. And I did not know how serious I was.

It is chores. Sufficiently advanced witchcraft is chores.

When your partner is massively depressed, has PTSD and survivor guilt, says that you're cursed from all the people and pet deaths in the past ten years (not a ton in just a few months or anything, reasonable old age health in both categories) and they keep saying "just ignore me so I can leave," "I'm just going to get in the car and leave," or phrases along those lines.... It's so hard to not just go "if you wanted to leave and didn't see a solution or find some solace in me taking care of you/things/companionship, then you'd already been gone and 'hating' me wouldn't be your hang up," because you know that's going to start a bigger fight and a deeper spiral.

Picking and choosing your eggshells is so tiring for caregiver souls.

Bwahahaha! When your former marine co-worker comes in to day "I thought about you the other day...."

All because at Easter I found crayon bubble gum and bought him a couple packs. This time, he saw crayon shaped USB drives and it made him think of me. XD
