I hate when people assume we only care about historical accuracy. Historical accuracy is nice but what we really want environments and costumes that don’t look like complete ass. Also, just because a story has fantasy elements doesn’t mean all the real world elements don’t matter.

Troy isn’t historically or accurate but you can tell they still cared about emulating the vibes of Ancient Greece. I don’t care if you want it to look like Bronze Age Greece or Hellenistic Greece, just make the costumes and environment look cool.

My fucking Epic The Musical Telemachus cosplay somehow looked more Ancient Greek than the one I saw in the trailer.

Also, I love how the guy says “just become experts overnight” as if a simple google image search isn’t enough to realize the costumes don’t look right.
