I’m Caitlin Owner of Sharp Plant Designs. Wife and mom to 2 boys, Expert light saber battler, creek walker, boo-boo healer, and now recent homeschooler. . 5 weeks ago I decided to stop regular business operations to make masks, headbands, and surgical caps for those on the front lines. . In those 5 weeks a group of friends and neighbors have banded together and have done amazing things! We have made: 4,220 masks 185 Surgical caps 1,000 headbands . After 5 weeks we are now coming to a close. We have worked our collective butts off and have made over 5,000 items! . With all that amazing work done I am physically and mentally exhausted. As well as out of fabric. . Since time, energy, money, and fabric are finite resources it’s time for us to pass the touch onto others in those mission. . I, personally, need to figure out what the new normal is going to look like for my family and business. My husband still physically goes into work. . In order to do that I need to take a break. Clean up the fabric scraps. And figure out how my business with fit into my family’s new life. . I want to thank everyone who contributed money, time, and fabric to make this happen. Without your contributions we wouldn’t have been able to do it without you. . . . . . #sharpplant #sewcialmission #sewtogether #togetherapart #covid19 #sewing #sewingismysuperpower #smallbusiness #northernvirginia #community #serveothers #bethechange #healthcareheroes #firstresponders #frontline #sewawesome #loveyourneighbor https://www.instagram.com/p/B_vSaEmhgHH/?igshid=z6oaqhqptenj
