what truly baffles me is that trans/nb “inclusive” language is not actually inclusive at all. people all over the world would recognize my body as female despite me having had a hysterectomy and no longer having a uterus because sexual dimorphism is coherent enough that we all know damn well what “female” means to most people, even if you think it’s a transphobic definition.
you know what kind of language DOESN’T include me? “people who menstruate” or “people with a uterus.”
y'all claim that “terfs” are the ones who don’t account for infertile women, for women who’ve had hysterectomies, for premenstrual girls, for menopausal women, for intersex women. y'all say “terfs” reduce people to their genitals. but the reality is that isolating bodily functions and organs as defining characteristics of a cohesive group of people: 1) actually results in exclusion, 2) actually reduces people to their genitals, and 3) obscures misogyny by pretending issues affecting the female body “affect people of all genders.”
I’m not telling you to change your pronouns or the way you conceive your individual body. I’m telling you to look at the larger picture and realize that misogyny is a societal problem and that it has targeted the female body, and oppression will not come to an end if we cannot name it.
bringing this back because I’ve been thinking about how it’s particularly tone-deaf and cruel to discuss the needs of female bodies using this kind of language.
let’s go through some examples of females who may not menstruate/have a uterus/have ovaries/etc:
- a premenstrual girl. not included in “people with periods.” may not currently need, say, access to bathrooms that have sanitary pads. most absolutely needs comprehensive education on her body and how menstruation works for when the time comes.
- a woman with PCOS who’s stopped menstruating. not included in “people with periods.” still in absolute need of research on her female-specific condition because doctors still don’t know what exactly causes it or how to effectively treat it.
- a woman who had an oophorectomy because she had ovarian cancer. not included in “people with ovaries” or “people who produce more estrogen than testosterone.” would maybe still have her ovaries if her male doctor had believed her when she first started to feel pain and her cancer had been treated early on. still has the same hormonal needs as other females and needs to be on HRT.
- a woman who became infertile after having a clandestine abortion. not included in “people who can get pregnant.” would have possibly not become pregnant if she’d had access to education and contraceptives and if we didn’t live in a world where men raping women was commonplace. could have had a safe abortion if women were granted full autonomy over their bodies.
- a girl who was the victim of fgm. not included in “people with a clitoris.” would not have been the victim of fgm if men did not specifically seek to control and punish female bodies.
should I go on?
ppl are really not ready to be uncomfortable. when i first wanted to get into radical feminism, i was so hellbent on still shaving because “ well body hair looks weird on everyone! men should shave too!” then when i saw women saying bitch and cunt were misogynistic slurs, i was so opposed to that because bitch was a part of my daily vocabulary. but at some point, you have to stop being up your own ass and listen to others because sometimes you realize… you are just dead wrong 😭 and you actually do need to work on yourself. the more i started reading, the more i started seeing and the more i had to evaluate what the fuck I was saying and doing. when i get mad at a woman, why do i call her a bitch? why do i shave even though i don’t really like it? you have to get comfortable with discomfort 🤷♀️
Idk, oppression just makes a lot more sense when you start looking at them from an evolutionary perspective
"Why does racism exist?" People prioritize their genetics, skin color is one of the easiest ways to recognize a difference in genetics.
"Why do people torture small animals?" It reminds them of hunting instinct, a reminder that their genetics are good.
"Why does homophobia exist?" A non-reproducing member can be a burden to your future genetics.
"Why do men hate women?" Patriarchy is an incredibly efficient method of spreading the male genome.
"Why are disabled people hated?" Because they are seen as a genetic hindrance to the group.
I don't think people like to think about things like this because we've shunned the idea that humans are biological for so, so long. There must always be some principled, rational reason why the oppressor would act this way, they say to themselves. We've invented entire religions, ideologies, schools of thought, cultures, all around the concept that we are separate from the nucleic acid in our cells. But it's all a massive cope to the fact.
So long as people continue to wallow around in their books and pages of 'theories' on why oppression exists, it will continue to exist. So long as people attempt to protest oppression on a basis of ideology, it will continue to exist. Activism in the traditional sense is largely worthless unless the environment is already favorable for change. Otherwise you are fighting an uphill battle.
The only hope is to attempt to make our biology irrelevant. Somewhat ironic I guess, as that's what we've been trying to do for the past hundred thousand years. But this time we actually have a little bit of hope.
There's a reason that so many civil rights and social justice movements came after the industrial revolution. Technology can negate biology, at least by a little bit. It's worth trying at least, to continue to advance and advance in hopes that there's a small chance that we could escape it all, at least for a while.
Or maybe we'll fuck up and create a trillion machines that can suffer or whatever, who knows.
This is an illegal opinion to have on this hellsite (cool) but I find it so funny that female culture is just so inherently embarrassing: make-up, mass marketed beauty products, weight loss to the point of insanity, clothes being designed to reveal as much of their bodies as they can to the point they are insubstantial, constant pressure to perform femininity, and every single one of those things boils down to attracting a mate to reproduce.
And then we wonder why women aren't taken as seriously by the whole of society. Like one of these things is true: women as a whole are duped because they are idiots or women like being seen as subhuman breeding machines.
Women will say females are meant to lead and then have a full face of makeup with no muscle mass.
Maybe my most deranged post yet. Grab the popcorn.
I'm going fucking insane.
Why prolong the end of the world?
Failed dictator school now I'm going to be an artist
If we take the blackpill further and apply it to humans in general, then we have to admit that our world is in the state it is, thanks to human nature.
Agriculture, capitalism, technology, patriarchy and so on are human made systems upheld and supported by humans. These aren't systems that were forced uppon us, but they were made by us.
Whenever people criticize these system they won't ackowledge that humans want these system and that's why they're here and that's why they will stay.
You're against capitalism? Good luck trying to convince people that they should give up their privileges, cheap goods, comfort and all the niceties that this modern world has to offer.
People in my country could never give up cars and will gladly pay the high gasoline prices. They don't give a fuck about the pollution, noise and environmental problems that they cause. I live in a walkable city with great public transit and there are still thousands of cars on the street! And don't get me started on rich people... People don't want to eat the rich, they want to eat with the rich!
Human nature is lazy and greedy among other things and that's why capitalism is here to stay.
If we would want to change these system then that would mean we humans would have to fundamentally change our nature. Capitalism, patriarchy and so on are our nature.
Writing coping mechanisms on the internet isn't going to change that. People are all bark and no bite anyway. Always trying to appease others. Change won't happen that way anyway.
While you write your chronically online takes on the internet, most people will just live their lives and won't further think about this world. They might agree with some lukewarm takes and then be on their way working, sleeping, eating, wasting time with entertainment media and their smartphones. That's life. It won't change and we know that, otherwise there wouldn't be all these sci-fi movies about mega corporations being in total control of the world in the future.
Men do not face the consequences of the evils they've committed. It already being hard and unreasonable to crucify just any passing male but a handful of bad feminists is enough to make someone hate it. To make self proclaimed feminists denounce it. Aside from this being blatant misogyny, this shows us exactly who's oppressed and who isn't. Because why are women expected to be pacifistic and understanding. And if they aren't, that's it? Now feminism is pointless and toxic? Only the oppressed would be held to an impossible standard. And only women are held to that standard where you're aware female based oppression and dehumanization exists in varying levels but can't feel any way about it.
In Telegram groups, men are sharing thousands of nonconsensual images of women and girls, buying spyware, and engaging in doxing and sexual
THOUSANDS OF MEN are members of Telegram groups and channels that advertise and sell hacking and surveillance services that can be used to harass friends, wives and girlfriends, and former partners, new research has uncovered. The findings, from a European nonprofit group, also say that the communities are involved in extensive trading, selling, and promotion of a huge variety of abusive content, including nonconsensual intimate images of women, so-called nudifying services, plus folders of images that sellers claim include child sexual abuse material and depictions of incest and rape.
All the free porn in the world isn’t enough for them.
men having a sexual fetish for womens clothing but it being impossible the other way around proves to me that womens clothing is sexually degrading and literally nothing can convince me otherwise
Call me old fashioned, but I think the president saying "a whole civilization will die tonight" is the part where he should be deposed immediately.
i hate living as female
Women calling women out for 'catching print' being hypocritical and creepy. Women calling out another woman who went on a 9 minute rant about her pedophilic delusions. A subreddit being dedicated to holding women accountable for violent crimes. Women 'fighting' to be feminine and to be beaten during sex. Women defending black males excusing them from the Patriarchy. The Internet already over exaggerates beliefs. I don't want to hear that misandry is even a thing.
separatism/6b4t is the only correct choice as a woman. anything lesser is a disservice to your existence as a woman.
