like tbh living my whole ass life as a woman of colour with a metabolic and hormonal disorder, i’ve had my womanhood denied to me completely and totally by others, especially by other women, in the absence of trans women and girls on the basis of race and visual presentation like i have been masculinized by several women, mostly white, and been deemed aggressive, surly, a beast of burden, an aberration often enough that i just find it fucking exhausting when somebody tries to argue with me that trans women are a threat and danger to my womanhood like actually they have historically accepted and nurtured it the most in all its expressions but lol

When I lived in London there was a murder of crows that lived near me. I fed them often, they brought me presents (shiny rubbish and cigarette butts they found on the floor to thank me.)

When I moved, I’m certain they understood I was leaving because I had all my stuff and gave them lots of food and compliments.

But, they chased down my friend who lived in the next burrough over. They had recognised that friend with me several times and followed them to their house when they couldn’t find me.

They adopted my friend and it was now my friend’s job to bring them snacks and receive the presents.

This was maybe 6-7 years ago.

I visited London last year. Went to see my friend. The crows all not only recognised me, they tracked me down. We got into my friend’s flat and not twenty minutes later there was chaos on the balcony.

We open the curtains, the entire fucking murder is there shouting because they wanted to see me.

Crows are the very best birds.

ok not to be that guy but like. labor rights and working class rights can coexist with 24h services and late amenities. its certainly hard to do so without worker exploitation in this political and social environment, it’s not a conflict likely to resolve overnight. but 24h services are important and especially valuable to those of us that are disabled or are on a different circadian rhythm. in fact more professional, health, and government services should be available or at least possible to work on asynchronously (if applicable) during late or odd hours, while workers also get sufficient pay for their labor and proper consistent scheduling. this would be much easier on the workers with night schedules if the entire professional world didn’t grind to a halt at 5pmEST

I currently work 7:30 am to ???? (Latest I've been is 6:30pm at this point). I don't have a weekday off at the moment. Do you know how much I would love being able to set a doctor's appointment at 7pm? It would be life changing. Doctors outside of the ER being available to me would be lovely. Not having to take a day off to have an appointment would be wonderful. Give me asynchronous workers yesterday please.
