oh ok
deciding one day that you want to build a life for yourself is so scary. like damn I really want to live⊠Iâm new to this. where do I even begin
I remember watching the original video ages ago, so I'm glad to see there's an animation lol!
Best summary of lord of the rings Iâve ever seen.
Hate it when TikTok farm cosplayers and cottagecore types say stuff like "I'm not going to use modern equipment because my grandmothers could make do without it." Ma'am, your great grandma had eleven children. She would have killed for a slow cooker and a stick blender.
Iâve noticed a sort of implicit belief that people used to do things the hard way in the past because they were tougher or something. In reality, labor-saving devices have historically been adopted by the populace as soon as they were economically feasible. No one stood in front of a smoky fire or a boiling pot of lye soap for hours because they were virtuous, they did it because it was the only way to survive.
Taking these screenshots from Facebook because they make you log in and won't let you copy and paste:
Warframe-Blue-Emet-Selch update, a couple days before Roathe drops
So a couple months ago when this info about this new character came out, I saw all these comments from fans of Warframe who were understatedly like, "Oh, Rebb is a huge fan of Emet-Selch. Good for her for getting his voice actor"
and I was under the impression she was some normal fan of this character. You guys neglected to mention she loves Emet-Selch so much that she filmed a livestream opening Magic: the Gathering boxes JUST to find his card, and she was going so crazy that she couldn't find the Emet-Selch card that she started EATING the cards
I have also taken so much comfort in watching her livestream of Endwalker... she burst into tears at just HEARING HIS VOICE in Elpis, she cried so much throughout.
She bought that fucking expensive Emet-Selch wine goblet and uses it. Her companion pet in Warframe is named "Emet-Selch." This is the person who hired his voice actor. She might be more Emet-brained than I am.
I have not been this curious to meet a character in so many years.
My lord I need you to make up your mind, where the fuck are we going
my lord i think we're lost
my lord????
As more and more people are being forced to switch to Windows 11, Microsoft's most AI-malware-ridden OS yet, I've been putting together articles and links for how to undo the damage and save your battery, your RAM, your disk space, your privacy, and your sanity from this bullshit.
FIRST:
The easiest way to get rid of the majority of the bullshit that Windows is forcing on us, as of October 2025, is this one-stop-one-click debloat solution from a modern day hero:
A simple, lightweight PowerShell script to remove pre-installed apps, disable telemetry, as well as perform various other changes to customi
It's very easy, even if you're not tech savvy or get scared of pop up windows saying "ARE YOU SURE?" Yes, you are sure, I promise. This program takes maybe two minutes and will save you SO MUCH pain, time, and money (and exploitation).
Now that you've done that, here's the cleanup, to catch the little shit that the debloat might have missed (most of this will already be done by debloat, but hey, it's good to double check).
Microsoft wants to put AI everywhere on your PC, but you can take back control.
Even just reading about some of these features makes me angry. Fucking Copilot and "Discover" AI scrapers are in Notepad. NOTEPAD. And then there's this uncanny valley garbage:
No uncanny valley video calls for me, thanks! (Also, what else is it doing while it scans your face and listens to your calls? What else, microsoft? Because there was a lot of memory being assigned to this program for a simple "smooths your skin" add on).
Tired of Microsoft pushing ads throughout Windows 11? Here are the settings you can tweak to turn them off and reclaim some privacy.
The truly insane number of places they have stuck ads on your own home computer is sickening. Become Unmarketable.
Bonus:
Some background programs you probably don't need that are taking up space and how to remove them (Microsoft forums, 2024)
Your Samsung Galaxy Phone comes with 22 apps you don't need (Android Police, 2025)
How to disable the AI in firefox (still the only browser that lets you do this permanently) (Windows Report, 2025)
TIL "leopards-eating-peoples-face-party" was originally tweeted by warframe's lead writer lmfao
holy shit?
this is why warframe's story fucking rules
Trying to explain Warframe to new people is impossible without sounding absolutely insane. It's like, if a game had an identity crisis...but in a good way. An identity buffet, if you will. There's so much in this game it's sensory overload.
You like space dogfights? Rogue-lites? Fishing, mining, player housing? How about Guitar Hero, space shanties, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater? Let's not forget the dating sim. Oh yeah, you can add a birthing QTE rhythm minigame too, because why not. I'm waiting for the inevitable sex update, cause y'know, we've gotten this far without imploding, so it might as well happen. Like what the fuck even is this game anymore. Nobody knows! Not even the devs themselves. It's all held together by dreams, duct tape and vibes at this point, but somehow it works.
Hop on Warframe, we have:
Bionicle meets Neon Genesis Evangelion
12 yr olds turning the geneva conventions into a checklist
your trans robot mom who has DID
old man yaoi
a traumatized group of bisexuals fighting the Y2K bug
an autistic child and his fidget spinner solos god
a fish voiced by Astarion
workers' union committing terrorism against capitalists
incel who tries to destroy the sun because he fumbled a bad bitch (she took the kids)
a boyband that you have to slay for weapons
and an eldritch entity beyond human comprehension that can only be defeated by the power of love
And if you think all that sounds unhinged out of context, don't worry, It's just as unhinged with context.

sometimes I think about how rattlesnakes are starting to adapt to bite immediately instead of using their rattle as a warning, because this defense mechanism that says "im here! im frightened! don't come close or ill bite you" has instead ilicited a reaction of "oh fuck a rattlesnake, i should kill it"
so of course every snake that has the instinct to warn humans of its presence gets killed, and only the snakes that bite first and dont make themselves known get to survive. a human who's been bitten is too worried about his swelling ankle to decapitate a snake with a shovel.
it's a good example of how humans make the world more dangerous for ourselves by believing that we have mastery and ownership of it. we think we have the power and importance to control the life around us down to the snakes and insects, but every animal fights for life. and no animal thinks that any human is more important than it's own life.
i have this disease called i will open your message and get distracted and forget to reply and then the notification will be gone so i will not have replied for ages and you will think i am ignoring you but. i am not. itâs incurable
YouTube made AI enhancements to videos without telling users or asking permission. As AI quietly mediates our world, what happens to our sha
"It turns out, he wasn't. In recent months, YouTube has secretly used artificial intelligence (AI) to tweak people's videos without letting them know or asking permission. Wrinkles in shirts seem more defined. Skin is sharper in some places and smoother in others. Pay close attention to ears, and you may notice them warp. These changes are small, barely visible without a side-by-side comparison. Yet some disturbed YouTubers say it gives their content a subtle and unwelcome AI-generated feeling.
There's a larger trend at play. A growing share of reality is pre-processed by AI before it reaches us. Eventually, the question won't be whether you can tell the difference, but whether it's eroding our ties to the world around us."
1. What happened YouTube admitted itâs been running AI processing on some Shorts â sharpening, denoising, smoothing â without asking permission. Creators noticed their own faces looked subtly âoff,â like they were wearing AI makeup. And the altered version is what the audience sees.
2. Why this crosses a line
Ownership: Your video is your work. Your face is your image. When YouTube silently rewrites it, they are asserting that theyânot youâown how you appear on their platform.
Trust: Creators like Rick Beato and Rhett Shull rely on authenticity. If the platform itself tampers with that, it erodes the bond between creator and audience.
Consent: On your phone, you can toggle filters. On YouTube, you arenât asked. Thatâs the difference between a tool you control and a platform that controls you.
Reality creep: These changes seem tiny, but they normalize the idea that media is always pre-processed. Once you accept that, the very expectation of ârealnessâ starts to vanish.
3. Why YouTube thinks they can do this
Most people wonât notice.
Those who do notice wonât leave; thereâs no real competition at YouTubeâs scale.
With bigger global crises, this feels too trivial to fight. They know apathy and exhaustion keep most people quiet.
4. The deeper problem This isnât about whether a shirt wrinkle looks sharper. Itâs about power. YouTube doesnât see itself as a neutral distributor of your work. It sees itself as the author of the experience, with full rights to âoptimizeâ your content however it likes. Creators are just raw material. Thatâs why they didnât ask: asking implies you could say no.
5. What can be done
Raise awareness. The only reason this surfaced was because creators with big audiences noticed. Keep amplifying it.
Demand control. A mandatory opt-out is the minimum. YouTube must not alter identity without consent.
Diversify. Explore Nebula, PeerTube, even Patreon-hosted video. Every bit of independence reduces monopoly leverage.
Frame the stakes. This isnât âjust a filter.â Itâs a question of who owns your image, your work, your voice. If we concede that to the platform, weâll lose the last trace of authenticity online.
6. The bottom line Google once said âDonât be evil.â Now the motto is closer to âDonât get caught.â Theyâre not testing video quality â theyâre testing how much tampering people will tolerate before they resist. And if thereâs no resistance, the platformâs ownership over your reality becomes the default.
