pop health science is so annoying bc it'll be like "did you know? eating strawberries will give you mega cancer" and you're like pfft whatever begone influencer. but sometimes then you'll see a reasonably credible article like "Study Shows Possible Link Between Strawberries and Mega Cancer" and you're not usually the type to follow that kind of thing religiously but idk maybe you should consider not eating strawberries? but then there's another article saying "Strawberry/Mega Cancer Study Debunked" and it turns out the original study had a sample size of 3 and was funded by Big Blueberry, and strawberries may have a small connection to mega cancer but only if you are genetically predisposed to mega cancer and eat 50 strawberries every day. so you return to your strawberry eating life. but whenever you eat strawberries in public someone tells you about the mega cancer.
Theyre called draculas because they drank u. La
Did anyone else hear just one single angelic note
WHAT HAPPENED HERE
the angelic note is playing at your dashboards resonant frequency. shaking its miserable posts apart
Quick shout out to the Down syndrome kid from my after-school program back when I was in grade school. Like yea he had the usual issues but he was a sweetheart and quite funny; and one day both his parents showed up at the same time to pick him up and I had the experience of meeting a family of genetically disabled people that had jobs and a home and a kid in school and it was a profoundly normalizing experience for me like I couldn’t take eugenicists seriously after that because like “no they totally can have whole entire meaningful lives with marriage and children and work and hobbies have you not met Dennis??” Anyway quick shout out to Dennis you were a real one

So the thing is boobs really do be jiggling. If having breasts has taught me anything it is that the ladies frolic. I don't even have that large of boobs but every time I go down some stairs all I can think about is that stupid quote about boobing breastily down the stairs or whatever it is because God Damn.
But anime and video game boob jiggling is like. The most uncanny valley shit I've ever seen nine times out of ten. You would think people this horny about tits would have actually looked at some but I guess not.
What we really need is some pervert to compile the ultimate visual guide to boob bouncing physics that's just like 500 hours of meticulously organized videos of breasts of different size and shape and under different fabrics bouncing around from a wide variety of physical movements so horny game devs can finally get it right and I don't have to be creeped out by women who appear to have surgically implanted softballs in their chest under skin made of rubber bands.
Those shockingly high “illiteracy” statistics that go around aren’t saying that like 22% of Canadians or 21% of Americans or whatever literally can’t read.
That’s the number of people at level 1 literacy or below. Level 1 literacy is like grade school level. Able to read labels and straightforward instructions and whatnot.
Which is like. Still higher than the ideal for sure, but it’s not like a fifth of adults literally can’t read. They’re just kinda bad at it.
Easily the most annoying kind of vampire in the world are the ones where you finally corner the fuckers and when you're going in with the stake they start spouting off sociology 101 bullshit to try and weasel out of it. "Oh, no ethical consumption under capitalism," "oh, the rich are the real vampires if you think about it-" yeah, yeah, you ate like fifty homeless people, asshole. Hold still
Okay but if you aren't a vegetarian your case against vampires is actually pretty weak.
I SAID HOLD STILL
me when i FUCKING get you *image of two mourning doves cuddling*
“you support gay rights so you must be gay”
i support animal rights do i look like a fucking alpaca to you
turns out i am gay
holy shit how’d this alpaca learn how to type
Diversity win! The alpaca is gay!

55 YEARS AGO ICHIMONJI HAYATO, THE SECOND PROTAGONIST OF THE FRANCHISE, WAS INTRODUCED TO KAMEN RIDER. HE KICKSTARTED THE HENSHIN BOOM BY BEING THE FIRST TO DO THE HENSHIN POSE AND SAVED THE SHOW FROM CANCELLATION. RIDER WOULDN’T BE WHAT IT IS NOW WITHOUT HIM. HE IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AND JUST AS MUCH OF A MAIN CHARACTER AS HONGO.
THANK YOU TAKESHI SASAKI FOR YOUR WORK!
Wow thanks for the ingot man let me just inspect the quality real quick
Dude come on
I've heard from a couple places that the secret agent aspect of zeztz was an afterthought to the dreams aspect and I believe it based on how they handled the CODE plotline, and it's a shame because if they were more interested in engaging with the themes that go with that I think we could've had something really special. You have a group of characters here who were conscripted into a violent, presumably unpaid secret career as assassins, many of them when they were very young children, many of them because they were born to or raised by those already involved (or in Sieg's case, incarcerated) and had no other option. Those who left almost invariably devoted their lives to destroying the organization they came from, believing that whatever Nightmares could do to the world couldn't be worse than what CODE had done in the name of eradicating them. Of those who left, the vast majority see themselves as irredeemable or tainted in some way, relegated to a bleak future of revenge, suffering, and then death. And yet we only ever get little whispers of the show itself seriously engaging with ideas like generational trauma or PTSD or recruitment propaganda or like, veteran relations (CODE having very clear analogs to the real-life military), stuff like that. Yeah I know this is a kids show but the building blocks are all right there!
"these researchers published a paper on something that literally any of us could have told you 🙄" ok well my supervisors wont let me write something in my thesis unless I can back it up with a citation so maybe it's a good thing that they're amplifying your voice to the scientific community in a way that prevents people from writing off your experiences as annecdotal evidence
they did the research in the first place because they believed you and wanted to tell people about it. they are not our enemies.
people always go "Instead of spending all that time on a study they could have just listened to us when we said these thing happen"
they did listen, that's how studies work, they asked people about their experiences and put all the data together in a nice package that can be cited
I quote this and laugh to myself very, very often.
