Duas - For anxiety and sorrow
Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal'ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal.
O Allah, I seek refuge in you from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men.

me, looking at the current state of the world, crying:I wish none of this had happened…
Gandalf, materialising in my conscience, smiling kindly: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, besides the will of evil.
This is wonderfully helpful.
There’s also Sam: “It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.”
What are we holding onto Sam?
There’s good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it’s worth fighting for
ok kids repeat after me
vinegar and bleach makes chlorine gas, which is highly toxic
ammonia and bleach makes chloramine, which is highly toxic
rubbing alcohol and bleach makes chloroform, which is highly toxic
hydrogen peroxide and vinegar makes peracetic/peroxyacetic acid, which can be highly corrosive
be careful about your cleaning products and dont get yourself injured or potentially killed ok
why it so dangerous to be clean
As someone who’s job is to handle chemicals like this, I need to state that this information is IMPORTANT. Plenty of people have accidentally injured or killed themselves at home because they didn’t know what kind of reaction certain substances have with one another. Play it safe and don’t mix chemicals.
Also don’t use bleach to clean up urine it’ll create chloramine bc of the ammonia in it and you can give yourself chemical pnemonia that way
Every time I see “helpful” posts telling people to mix these things while cleaning I cringe with my entire body.

The Nafs Must Be Restrained: [This One Beautifies Evil And Abandons You In Your Time of Need]
In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy Allaah said:[وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنسَانِ خَذُولًا - And Shaitan is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need.
Seven practical steps to help you face difficult situations.
1. Salah:
Make sure you stick to praying on time – 5 times a day. Never miss salah and do your best to pray each Salah with sincerity as if it’s your last salah in this world.
2. Read Quran:
This Quran is so beautiful that no matter what difficulties you face you’ll find solace in it.
3. Make Dua:
Especially the dua for removing anxiety.
“O Allaah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being over powered by men.”
Allahumma inni ‘a’udhubika minal hammi walhuzni, Wal’ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, Wa dal’id-daiyni wa ghalabatir-rajal
[Sahih al-Bukhari, 7/158]
4. Give Sadaqah:
Give lots of charity, as much as you can, because it helps push away hardship. And if you can’t give money, even kind words or physical sadaqah can do (i.e. helping people physically or emotionally).
5. Set Goals and Have Vision:
Don’t let shaytaan play with you and keep replaying the video of your hardship in your mind over and over again, move on! Set new goals, new projects, and remember you’re with Allah, nothing should stop you!
6. Wake up Early:
Wake up before fajr and work on your ideas and projects, or simply read Qur’an. Getting busy before day break is a definite way to move away from your hardship and overcome challenges. Get most of your ideas/work done in these early hours, these are blessed hours.
7. Hardship is Not Lost:
Remember, Allah will never forget the injustice/hardship you faced, so don’t worry about seeking revenge or trying to get justice.
“…Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants.” [22:10]
In the end, I pray that Allah (Subhanahu Wa’Tala) removes all your ordeals and hardships, blesses you all with a good life and helps you remember Him day and night, for “Verily, with remembrance of Allah, do hearts find rest”. (Surah Ar-Ra’d , verse 28)
- Islam Practise
Never delay or neglect repentance/istighfaar & keep sending salwaat upon The Prophet ﷺ.

If you are outside India, I am practically begging you to reblog this
Last week India passed a blatantly anti-Muslim law that seeks to naturalise millions of immigrants, except if they are Muslims.
In August of this year, India revoked the autonomous status of the Kashmir region, putting a communication blackout on the state. Kashmir has entered the fifth month of no internet and heaviest militarisation of any region in the world.
India is a secular, socialist republic. This bill is anti-constitutional and against the principles on which the country was founded
Naturally, there have been protests across the country. At the forefront of the protests are students from India's public universities.
Police opened fire on peaceful protestors in Jamia Milia Islamia University in Delhi, and Aligarh Muslim University in Uttar Pradesh.
Ever since then, the ruling fascist Hindu nationalist political party, the BJP, has been doctoring videos and sending fake news all over the internet, discrediting protestors and labelling them as terrorists
India has already seen too much religious violence, please please signal boost this, call your representatives, make them aware, get them to make statements. The only thing India and itd dictator Modi care about is its image abroad

We should all try to memorise Ayat al-Kursi, Surah Mulk, Surah Waqi'ah, Surah Yasin, and Surah Kahf. If a person is unable to memorise the whole of Surah Kahf then they should at least memorise the first ten verses and the last ten verses. We should also try our best to memorise the 30th Juz (or half of it)
We should recite Ayat al-Kursi after every Salah, Surah Mulk and Surah Waqi'ah every night because Mulk is a protection from the punishment of the grave and Waqi'ah is a protection from poverty. 3 Quls in bed because it is a protection during the night. Surah Yasin after Fajr as it possesses immense blessings. Surah Kahf should be read every Friday as it is a protection from the Dajjal. If you can't recite then listen to them attentively. The 30th juz should be recited in prayers throughout the day because it keeps us engaged and focused in Salah.
Shaykh Mohammad Aslam
That “child with emotionally neglective parents” feel when you grew up having teachers, artists and just grown ups in general tell you you’re mature for your age, intelligent, gifted, talented, that they wish they were more like you; but all you’d ever hear at home is that you’re lazy, selfish, heartless, retarted etc. and growing up hearing such extremely different opinions about you - extremely positive opinions from strangers in contrast to harsh criticism from your parents - has severely impacted your sense of self esteem and you feel extremely ambiguous about yourself.
One minute, feeling like if so many different people have given you the same compliments then maybe you really are a smart, talented and good person, maybe it’s all true and you are actually going to have a good, comfortable, happy life; and the next, feeling hopeless, furious and disgusted at yourself and believing everything is gonna go wrong and you’re going to end up feeling miserable your whole life for absolutely no reason other than you just feel there’s something wrong with you even though you can’t tell what it is
Words to keep inside your pocket:
Quiescent - a quiet, soft-spoken soul.
Chimerical - merely imaginary; fanciful.
Susurrus - a whispering or rustling sound.
Raconteur - one who excels in story-telling.
Clinquant - glittering; tinsel-like.
Aubade - a song greeting the dawn.
Ephemeral - lasting a very short time.
Sempiternal - everlasting; eternal.
Euphonious - pleasing; sweet in sound.
Billet-doux - a love letter.
Redamancy - act of loving in return.
