This is so sad. Not just because of Aoyama’s unfortunate situation, but his parents…
Listen, I get they were trying to make their boy happy, but haven’t we learned from izuku that sometimes all you need is to be told that it’s okay to be different? That your difference doesn’t define you.
His parents didn’t say that. They should have accepted reality and done their best to support Aoyama in spite of it, and not try so so hard to fit into society, even if they thought it would bring their child happines.
It was wrong.
And what’s more…now they are trying to make Aoyama clean up their mess.
This truly breaks my heart.
The pure shock on Izuku’s face.
Right here it isn’t even betrayal, it’s just confusion and shock.
Their friendship is one of the most underrated, bit it’s always been one of my favorites.
Aoyama is a villain and a traitor, but he’s genuinely still a good person, because…look at the way he cries.
He’s not sorry for being found out, he’s genuinely sorry for what he’s done, and he’s being confronted by the person he would probably call his best friend.
He can’t help but confess to him even as his parents try to keep him quiet.
He’s always been able to see the similarities between him and izuku. They are so so familiar, and now that Aoyama knows that izuku was also quirkless, I wonder if that makes him look at izuku as what he lacks.
Izuku was just like him, in the exact same position. Sad and quirkless, but still the path that they took were so different.
He must truly hate himself.
Endeavor, to Shoto: I didn’t raise you to be a disappointment!
