I attended Vidcon 2015. Yes it was an amazing experience but I enjoyed the small things more. For example penny boarding around the streets of California with my best friend blaring music was much more valuable than eating at Ihop at two in the morning with Sam Pottorff. Yes I absolutely adore Sam he is one of my favorite youtubers and I'll never forget that experience. But I've realized that the small things are more valuable than the big ones. I just loved cruising down the streets late at night with my best friend. I was taking in the view and the people and just not caring about anything else in my life. It was beautiful. The Palm trees with Christmas lights, gum on the ground, cracks in the sidewalk. It was all surreal. I bet your thinking I'm crazy for enjoying cruising down the street more than Vidcon. And yes I agree that is something crazy for me to say because I love YouTube and the amazing creators that provide amazing content. I'm guessing you also think you can penny board anywhere in the world why would you waste your time doing that when your at Vidcon. Well penny boarding is something that stops me from thinking, thinking about life, thinking about what's next, just about everything. It's my stress reliever. Vidcon is a wonderful event but also exhausting and stressful. So the nights that my best friend and I went for a cruise I didn't have to worry about where this youtuber was and that youtuber, I didn't have to worry if I looked presentable. My mind was at complete peace. Anyway the point of this was to say that enjoy everything in your life the big and the small things. Totally off topic but don't always record and take photos because your most likely watching it through the screen of your phone or camera. Why would you wanna watch it through a screen when you can live in the moment. Oh yeah go find your stress reliever so your mind can be at peace and you'll life will be much better I promise.
