Updating the info for my donation post now that I'm not spiraling and explain it all better.
Here are the full details of everything going on.
Long story short (kinda), my mother impulsively sold the house less than 2 months after I moved out, and instead of giving me a portion of the money like originally planned, she's taking off with all of it for herself, and this whole thing is going to COST ME money instead.
I'm a disabled parent on SSDI receiving no child support.
I was supposed to start working, and those plans fell apart due to two broken down cars.
- pay for a moving truck only TWO MONTHS after spending $250 to move most of my stuff two hours away
- pay for a storage unit to put it all in
- get one of the cars fixed so I can start working for the first time in a decade (internet connection isn't good enough to work from home & with my disabilities I can't do scheduled work so food delivery is pretty much my only option here)
- pay for ANOTHER moving truck in two months because that's when our current lease is up (we took over someone else's lease)
- somehow do all of this while saving up to move out by June. We can't stay in this house.
I'm setting my goal at $2k for now. That should be enough to cover moving expenses, storage expenses, the loan, and to fix one of the cars up enough to use it for work.
It may change depending on if/when I can start working, whether or not I can do the vehicle repairs myself (both have slipping transmissions), and whether or not other shit comes up in the meantime.
