the funniest naruto thing to me is how like,,,, all the teens are perfectly fine w killing from the get go like team 8 straight up murked a team in the chunin exams and laughed except like the unspoken rule that naruto doesnt kill not from lack of trying bc hes really constantly going out of his way to throttle villains he just doesnt ever get to complete the job really which means like… the only character,…. who purposely has a rule against killing,,,,,, and shwon disgust and fear abt the prospect,,,,,,,,,,, is fucking sasuke uchiha

How do you feel about Itachi's genius status/label compared to Kakashi, or even Sasuke? Concerning their backstories where both Kakashi and Itachi are heavily exposed to Konoha ideals (and Kakashi's 'those who ____ are trash' line seems like it would make sense if he decided on it fairly young and stuck to it), whereas Sasuke has a 'lighter' childhood until the massacre (I say 'lighter' but wasn't he genin level as a child?) Not about their actions later, just their set up and background?

This is going to be a long one, so buckle up! Are Itachi and Kakashi really prodigies at the level their fans think them to be? I don’t think so. Let’s look at the Databook first which almost everyone runs to but hardly knows how to read properly. This is Itachi’s:

Could you please make a blog on why Mikoto is an Uchiha by blood, people just, don't want to accept she is. sighs.

The Uchiha clan has a long-standing history that extends so far back that the Sage turned into a myth in the public discourse; so we’re talking about thousands of years here. Their culture is very clan-specific (like Hyuuga) in that it’s based on their own Doujutsu secrets, Tablet decoding, and inventing Kinjutsus. Basically, they’ve got their own cultural mores that they all abide by. All of this would only be possible if the clan’s secrets never left the clan, and the bloodline remained pure. 

The thing is, many westerners have got their heads stuck so far up their own assholes that they don’t understand the concept of clans and family-lines and the honor and prestige associated with them; since, they were never a part of rich cultures and old families, they can’t understand them. It’s pitiful and pretty pathetic the way they read Naruto with a western eye when it isn’t meant to be read that way. Marrying within extended family “to keep the blood pure” is very much a thing in many parts of Asia. The reason behind this is that many of these families go more than a millennium back. As a result, they’ve got a name associated with them; and that name brings them pride, honor, and recognition. It makes no sense to bring an outsider into the long-running family-tree (let’s call it clan for discussion’s sake) and ruin the bloodline. It’s literally termed as “spoiling” the bloodline. Many a time, the revulsion towards the transgressors is more extreme and they’re ousted from the families for good. Their access to the wealth, name, and honor is terminated permanently. I’ve seen many such incidents that took place in prestigious families. 

If you look at Naruto, the bloodline’s purity is literal in a very extreme sense as “powers” are linked to the said blood; so if the blood represents the clan and its powers, why would the family want to ruin the chain of “pure-bloods” and their power as a result? You see, Kishimoto has translated the concept that’s very common to Asia into Naruto as it is. Take “oral traditions (Hiden)” for instance. They’re passed down from ancestors to the new generations. Tradition is only tradition if it has a legacy behind it. Do you think these clans would’ve been able to maintain their legacies if they kept dragging in outsiders for marriage? It doesn’t work that way. 

That’s another reason why Itachi is well-liked among many Americans: he’s very western in his outlook towards life; and that’s precisely the reason why Sasuke’s loved in many parts of Asia, and Itachi isn’t. What you read on “the Uchiha clan’s arrogance” from an average dude-bro or auntie is nothing more than common behavior that’s a part and parcel of long-running family-lines. They don’t get “it”, because they’ve never been part of such families, and they never will be. Many of them probably don’t even know who their great grand-parents were. It’s just pathetic to me. They want the whole world to express things their way, which is the “right” way, apparently. I mean, Sasuke’s maligned for the exact same reasons: he’s selfish and arrogant and sees nothing beyond himself; but to any Asian individual who understands these concepts, none of this is “negative” behavior. 

So Mikoto’s considered a half-Uchiha because many of these people (who’re mostly SS shippers) think that if the Uchiha clan was alive, they’d have accepted Sakura (or any other non-Uchiha girl) into the family when that’s not how this works. There’s literally no reason for a prestigious family to accept an outsider into their family and “spoil” the blood, especially since the blood literally carries powers. Why would the clan lower the chances of Sharingan when it’s a mark of their clan’s pride, legacy, and honor? It’s absurd! And I don’t understand how people think that Sasuke of all the people wouldn’t have married in an arranged marriage. It’s laughable to me. Sasuke would’ve absolutely married to anyone his father would’ve asked him to. He’s a very obedient son. He was pulling out all stops to make his father happy. Why would taking a wife his parents choose for him be any different? Do people in the west even know that marriage is considered a duty in many parts of Asia to this day? Shocker, am I right? Sasuke would’ve never married anyone without his parents’ consent. This is the guy who was fighting for his dead clan’s honor when he could’ve easily thrown it away and lived his life. Why the fuck would he disobey his parents if they’re alive? It’s so stupid. 

So, no, nothing in the manga shows that Fugaku’s wife was an outsider as it goes completely against the idea of clan’s mores; and Fugaku was also the Head of the clan. Why would the clan’s head take in a non-Uchiha wife to spoil the blood of his family that’s meant to lead the whole clan? Not only that, both of his sons have powerful chakra, Sasuke especially so, and that can only be possible if the line was pure from the start. Some people need to get over themselves as the chances Sakura (or any other non-Uchiha girl) would’ve had with Sasuke or Itachi are below zero. It’d have never happened. Not in a million years. What would someone like Sakura bring to the table, anyway? There’s your answer.

I don’t like this scene at all. There were so many things wrong with his character and words that I genuinely cannot call this character Sasuke Uchiha.

There was a time Sasuke wanted to kill his older brother for massacreing his clan. Few years later he learns that his Brother Itachi, was a puppet for Konoha. They orchestrated a plan to wipe the Uchiha out because they planned a coup due to being discriminated against and oppressed.

Due to all of those events and the information being told to Sasuke, he wanted revolution. He wanted to reform Konoha and the world to be better and less racist.

That is why he told everyone in the war that he wanted to be Hokage. He wanted to actually reform the village. He wanted the village to stop being fascist.

His vision was not warped. Not in the slightest. But the reason he thought it was warped is because of Naruto and everyone else.

Everyone from Konoha and Naruto were so warped by the Will of Fire that they couldn’t even let a genocide victim have his own thoughts and opinions that didn’t align with the Will of Fire.

Sasuke’s revolution was so realistic. He was a genocide victim due to a fascist village, and then the kids who were warped by the fascist villages ideology then proceeded to chase and or try and kill him because he didn’t agree with it and wanted to change it.

Naruto and Sakura were never his friends. No matter how much they cared about him. Even their stans don’t understand Sasuke. Sakura and Naruto were constantly trying to change Sasuke’s outlook on the village. They never even tried to understand him. Sasuke’s clan, his people, his heritage and culture, were literally killed off and Naruto and Sakura only wanted him back in the village because they were fucking lonely.

Naruto can relate to Sasuke’s loneliness. He can’t relate to his clan being killed of by his own brother. Sakura can’t relate to Sasuke at all either. And because neither of them can relate nor understand him being a genoicide victim, they tried and succeeded in changing him so they do.

The illusion of the Will of Fire dates back to the war between the Senju and Uchiha. Tobirama was warped by it to the point that he segregated and discriminated against the Uchiha. Hashirama was warped by it to the point he didn’t even try and stop Tobirama. Hiruzen was warped by it to the point that he literally let Danzo organize a plan that murdered almost every Uchiha.

Even some of the fucking Uchiha, were warped by it. Shisui, Kagami, Itachi. They never thought twice about the Will of Fire. Itachi and Shisui thought the fucking coup was bad, but murdering their people would be fine.

As long as everyone aligns with the damn ideology of the village, no one will get hurt or killed.

That is how bad Sasuke’s view on the village is warped. That, is what Naruto did to him. He made him go back on his revolution, something that would’ve helped Konoha and the world to stop letting racism, segregation, discrimination, and fascism against clans deemed unfit, unbalanced and dangerous, be gotten away with.

His own damn team, Taka were brainwashed to a point as well. Maybe not as bad as Sasuke, because I guarantee that if Sasuke gave them the word to start the revolution again, they’d be outa that village under a half an hour. But to the point they barely see anything wrong with it.

The people in Taka understood Sasuke.

Jugo was considered a monster, he destroyed villages and the people around him because of his uncontrollable rage due to his unique ability. After Orochimaru researches his clans ability, he then experimented on him.

Suigetsu wanted to have the title of the “Seven Ninja Swordsman Of The Mist” with his brother. His brother then died after becoming one, and after that Suigetsu became Orochimaru’s experiment.

Karin was also a victim of a massacre. Her clan was massacred and she moved to the village of grass with her mother. After her mother died, she picked up her work and did whatever the people told her to do. Then the village she was living in was destroyed and burned down. After that, Orochimaru found her and she became a subordinate of him.

What I’m trying to say is, Team Taka can understand and connect to Sasuke on a few different levels. Naruto and Sakura couldn’t. They couldn’t understand what it meant to be a victim of a massacre, they couldn’t understand what it meant to be experimented on (even tho it was later, the curse seal was still a huge part of Sasuke for a long time). They literally couldn’t understand it.

Yes optimism is great. I’m glad Sasuke is more optimistic now. But pointing him towards the right path? He was doing what he thought was right, and most likely would’ve been. He wanted to change the Ninja world for the better. Yeah he had anger in his heart, yeah he wanted to destroy Konoha, but what he actually wanted to do is reform it.

This is why I hate this scene so much. This is why I can’t consider Boruto Canon. Scenes like this are what make me hate Boruto.

I’m not really a Sasukarin shipper but if anything, it’s a better ship than Sasusaku. Yes, he did try killing Karin at some point but he treated her better than he had ever treated Sakura. We all know (including SS fandom) how Sasuke treated Sakura, he’s done nothing but treat her like trash
