lol been gone forever last time I posted I was reading TCGF buuut I’m back and reading MDZS annnnd i have thoughts! Okok it just randomly hit me that Hua Cheng waited for Xie Lian longer then the US has been a country. Idk it just really hits you that the history of a country even impacts stuff like this. Like for example in western media we prob would have made it 200 years maybe 300 but anything after that is just too long ya know? But for a country that is so old no those years well long don’t really have the same impact as they do in the US. Like yes their long but not like that long.
Anyway that was me just rambling hehe
Okok huge spoiler warning for book 7 cuz ngl I thought I was screaming into the void but people are actually reading these heheh
This was a whole roller coaster of emotions! Book 1 I didn’t like the Emperor cuz yeah he didn’t show up but he was the one who put the shackles on Xie Lian. But then we find out out my baby girl was on the brink of becoming a calamity and he asked for the shackles soo maybe Jun Wu wasn’t all that bad. But then we find out boy was white no face and damn I regret ever giving him any benefit of the doubt. Like I should have trusted my instincts.
With that said I do have so many opinions on Jun Wu and I am dying to write em down but sadly I need to get back to work…
Sooo book 7 ngl really hammers in how good Xie Lian is cuz ngl if I were him when Jun Wu was revealed to be White No face I would leave so fast. Like sorry every god for themselves. Esp with the fact that Hua Cheng would be so down for it! All I’m saying is everyone is so freaking lucky Xie Lian is so sweet
Heheeeeee I am in pain… finished book 6 and well Xie Lian broke my heart. With that said i kinda hate how entitled mu qing and feng xin felt over “helping” Xie Lian in the beginning of the book when they were trying to get him away from Hua Cheng. Like I know from their perspective Hua Cheng is really creepy and like he kinda is but come on I don’t think they have the right to chastise Xie Lian over trusting him. It especially rubbed me the wrong way when feng xin told Hua Cheng to leave Xie Lian alone cuz he’s suffered enough, like, how do you know? You guys weren’t there! And and when you finally got to see him again after 800 years instead of going to his side they hid themselves! And I get it they might have not been over shame but come on! And when they did go to his side they weren’t mature enough to put their difference aside and kinder to him! Like when I first started reading the book they also rubbed me the wrong way… Like I will give props to like Feng Xin for kinda being nice to him in the Lantern ceremony buuuut idk this whole scene where they’re treating Xie Lian like he’s enchanted pissed me off. All I’m saying is if I were Xie Lian I would totally have referenced they fact that both ditched me and may not have the right to talk about what’s good for me…
Anyway off to read book7 heheeeeeeee
Oook reading book 6 it finally dawned on me why there was such an emphasis on how Xie Lian didn’t know wither to laugh or cry…. And god now I’m crying
Ok so I am eating those heaven official’s blessing books like their a five course meal and I have thoughts. For one I am a proud Hua Cheng Stan!!! lol everything he says I agree with. I’m sorry the way almost everyone treats Xie Lian pisses me off. Boy will say oh I have such bad luck a Jinx ditched me and that’ll cause laughter when dude that’s sad!?!?! Like bsjsbdksjdkans idk like I really do like the wind master but him laughing at that rubbed me the wrong way…. Anyway that was in idk book 3 I’m on book 6 sooo let’s see how this goes
