Finally reworking this after *checks notes* a year. Hi guys.

The most personal info you'll get about me is my name (Donnie) and pronouns (they/them). I am an adult. Please don't be weird, and please don't pry/ask about anything else.

I dont really...do DNI lists because im more of a "if I dont like you/your views I will block you", but I will say that if you support Abyssal, chil-aglia, or anyone else on their side of the shellcord drama, respectfully please stay away from my blog. I have seen how these people hurt others and do not want any part in that.

Generally don't like the forbidden romance trope in contemporary straight media because who is stopping you from being together. breaking my tumblr break rule for myself because idk if i've heard people mention this but the new inej art feels honestly distasteful and disgusting to me. yes it wasn't the intention for the artist to draw her in clothes so resembling her menagerie outfit, but let me tell you. when i first saw that outfit i didn't think 'dancer/ballet theater looks from the turn of the century'. no. i thought 'menagerie'.

why, when in almost every other official drawing of inej has her in her wraith outfit (the other official art of her in menagerie silks with peacock feathers around the edge of the card is a WHOLE other issue entirely. that same artist drew this current one as well) did the artist have to choose that outfit? it's just also straight up...not something she would wear. she's also the only character who's poutfit makes a callback to her past- you don't see kaz in farmwear, or nina in a kefta. i mena. aside from matthias but he's just like that i think

Honestly tempted to take a break from posting anything on tumblr in general which is kind of counterproductive since I just said I would try interacting with people more

But my main fandom (the only thing i rlly post tbh) is rottmnt and the fandom is just so full of racists and groomers and homophobes and transphobes and other bad people and im just. Sick of it. Its already killed my interest in weeklymagmas (though to be fair, I was doing it less and less before I heard the news) and that was a really big thing for me.

Honestly, i'm also just sick of putting my creations out there and just getting...no response. And yeah that could probably change if I posted more regularly and this isnt me trying to say "EVERYONE REBLOG AND COMMENT ON MY STUFF NOW" it just feels like im always yelling at a wall.

Idk. I have a job this week so maybe I wont post anything until friday and just step back and take a small break and see how I feel after that. I dont think id ever delete my tumblr and im following a few really good comics, im just so fucking sick of this fandom. Maybe I'll post more about my aus on discord

Yes, when the original post is deleted from the server (not just the blog, but the Tumblr servers), there is no root post for notes to be added onto, and also no root post for time to be counted from, so it starts from zero. Most computer operating systems use Unix, which was launched in 1971 with t.he epoch date of midnight on January 1, 1970 as 1. Therefore zero is one second behind that date: December 31, 1969. Also, very unfortunately, this also means nobody except you and anyone you reblog it to will see this explanation, as you cannot open the notes to see comments when there are no notes.

Wildfires in northern Ontario force First Nations to flee

Several wildfires are forcing members of a number of First Nations to flee their homes in northern Ontario.

“I had time to run home and pack a bag and get to the beach where the boats were waiting,” said a member of Namaygoosisagagun First Nation (Collins). “We literally had minutes to get on the boats and flee before it took our town. “Once we left my house finally after packing what I could in a pack sack, the fire was right behind our place. We had to run to the beach and once we got there, it was only moments before the fire had jumped over the (train) track and was coming for us.”

it has since been confirmed that namaygoosisagagun first nation has completely burnt to the ground. if you would like to help the community navigate an ongoing crisis, i urge you to donate to the anishinabek nation 7th generation, a registered charity seeking to improve the lives of first nations people. donations are going directly to members of namaygoosisagagun first nation.

I wanted to use what ‘reach’ I may have here to share the Carolina Wildlife Center’s urgent plea for donations. If they are unable to raise $75,000 to cover ongoing and future care of their wildlife patients, the center will have to close July 20th, 2026. The services provided by CWC to the community are incredibly valuable, and without them, many wild animals will suffer without the care they need.

man, i never realize how much i remember about tma until i get to an episode and read the intro and am just like "OH thats the one where they opened the guy up and he was just full of Eyes right"

I don't get posts that dismiss Justine Gandy as "just" an alcoholic or inappropriate with children or whatever. Lapsing was evidently the result of being severely targeted by the entire community, of being repeatedly blamed for shit that's not even her fault. Paul's wife attacked *her* even though *Paul* was the one who lied, he gets away with just being called a piece of shit, and that's the least of the attacks she's faced.

Justine's whole arc is just a clear trauma story to mirror Alex's. She is a shaken woman denied support at every turn and repeatedly attacked, forced to rely on the same person who vandalized her car and isolated her further. She's clearly a story about how unsupported trauma will twist the world against you. In the scene where she bends down to speak Alex and we see "Witch" blazing beside her head, Alex is terrified and lashes out, the community's pressure on her have isolated the both of them and pushed Alex away from someone who would've unquestionably believed and helped him.

Calling her a "flawed character" I think just flattens a really well thought out character in a movie that really cares about how its stories and characters intersect. She's flawed if being isolated and targeted by your community and losing all your support systems because of unsubstantiated rumours is a "flaw."
